Awesome. I've always wanted to see more about this particular demo, it seems like it always got less attention than the FFVI SGI demo. Thanks for posting!

the 'Final Fantasy SGI Demo' was not called FFVI.

Indeed it was not.
It was infact called "Final Fantasy VI - The Interactive CG Game". (Check the first part of the end credits for it)
