  • One more thing lol! Where can I get a mat like that? All I find are narrow yoga/pilates/stretching mats. I would like something wide like in your video for flowing floor work. I have wooden floors, not fun! Thanks :D

  • just one thing....you cannot do the side split with your feet pointing to the front that will hurt you knees very badly youre supposed to do it to you knees and toes pointing onto the ceiling :)

  • @TheSophiestication09 he did them just fine. gymnast do them all the time with feet pointing to the front.

A quick question though, if these stretches are to be done only a couple of times a week. how long should I hold each exercise? Do I still follow to 15 sec to 30 sec rule? or prolong it?

  • Nem rossz!! Főleg a híd, nagyon sok idő kell hogy ilyen szépen egyenes lábbal is meg lehessen csinálni!

  • Hello Ido, congratulations for your work and dedication, the results are coming and are great. Very good videos, and generally, good music acompaignment. In this, case, a great one. Astrakan cafe (2), from the album with the same name, from Anouar Brahem, just beautyfull. Good luck, man.

  • You know your music, buddy. True. Anouar's music is magical.

Thank you for your kind words.

  • I like to see these muscled bodies flexibility to me crazy to see how they bend and open. Success every time I see it

  • Amazing, You have gotten me curious though. What are these potent stretching methods you speak about?

  • You might read Ido's blog. His practical understanding in mechanical-physiology is difficult to argue against.

  • Periodization and planning of the stretching process, not only using exercises, sets and reps, but in a smart way, in order to break barriers and advance step by step into deeper ranges of motion. Strength and flexibility is the best when going hand in hand.

  • @portaldo So do you have information/routine for this potent stretching/periodization on your blog as well? Or are you saying that this can be accomplished through the practise of the floreio itself without any additional stretching practise? Thanks

  • @portaldo Just to give you an idea of my flexibility goals, I want to reach contortion status. I am in my mid twenties though lol. I mention this because you said passive stretches are a waste of time. Then again I am assuming you mean static stretches unless you mean something else. I can do a bridge but aim to do a contortionist backbend. Can this be achieved through the periodization you speak off or will I be better off using static stretches given the nature of the contortionist backbend?

  • Hey Ido,

I don't need to tell you that you are the best. Great work!!!

    Avi.

  • Love you man. Hugs to you, Moran, Ophek and to the new shrimp. Looking forward to seeing you soon.

  • Do you have any tips for achieving the full side split? I really struggle with it.

  • Perfect! Yet, again it shows one can actually carry some musculature while being supple and graceful. Keep the inspiration flowing my brother.
