  • thats a mauser k98 not a mauser k98k

  • @nance2uable

From internet: The Karabiner 98k "Mauser" (often abbreviated "K98k" or "Kar98k") ...

Some one else once told me it was 98k on here as well.

  • @ytykg IT IS A K98 I don't care what the internet says because i go to gun shows and i own a couple of k98's

  • @MrGlock4me

..I'm not going to argue with you. It's not worth it.

From a fellow German Mauser owner, Have a good day!

  • @MrGlock4me you're the only person i know that says that -_-

  • @nance2uable Depends, the "k" at the end means "kurz" or short. That means the rifle is shorter than the original model, the K98. This IS a K98k, though, because one, you can easily see it's shorter than the K98, and 2, i think the owner of the gun would know what it is, since it's, you know, his. -_-

  • @nance2uable It is a K98k Karabiner 98 kurz(Carbine model 98 short) That is the official designation for that rifle.

  • Yes, very fun weapon to fire. I got a 1944 german made mauser with all the markings. Sucks that by the time I got my hands on the weapon it had a pitted bore and slightly damaged crown, it still is generally accurate, but its fun to shoot. Maybe when this rifle is really rare in a couple decades I can sell it for a nice chunk of change, bought mine for $200 at a garage sale or maybe if I have kids they can have it.

  • The front sight hood and cleaning rod make a big difference cosmetically, eh :) I even got a few capture screws for mine, but that's not really noticeable. just got em for the hell of it. Russian Capture K98ks are quite accurate for being all mismatched.

  • I really want one of these!

  • Dear Santa...

  • i fall in love with this rifle..

  • @NajChupong me too!!!

  • i like how easily you can operate the bolt.

  • fired 1. no loss of control. (true story) didn't kick as bad as i thought! im 12. 40 rounds. recommend a 22 for a first gun instead though...

  • i shot one of those yesterday. it literally made the ground shake. I cannot beleive how powerful those guns are. My shoulder still hurts.

  • charming gun

  • Love the stock on that, real nice !

  • i got from D-Day, serial number 666...fuckin sickest gun on earth bar none

  • @brion1125 "sickest gun on earth bar none"

sickest gun on earth BAR gun

  • @WLP1024usarmy

Some dude told me his grandfather hated being the BARman(see what i did there?)

  • I'm girding u like ww2 guns

  • The best video of the shooting mauser k98k

  • is it a good hunting rifle?

  • OMFG dude, i am trying to start a ww2 bolt rifle collection i got a 91/30 mosin nagant and a japanese Arisaka type 38, i am really looking hard to find a Kar98k for under $450.00 please please please let me know if you know of anyone

  • Go to gunshows. I'm in the southeast and there's a gunshow (or 2) within a hour every weekend. Every gunshow I've been to recently has had K98ks for under $400. I grabbed one for $250 a couple weeks ago.

  • Smooth bolt action!

  • Deutsche Waffe!!!!

  • Deutsche Waffe bist Wunderbar.

  • Such a beautiful weapon!

  • So it could fire as fast as an Enfield rifle.. I love that rifle.

  • i respect you because you have a big gun....(ive heard that b4 lol)

  • Now my people are finally getting credit for there guns ah?

  • Like Vince on the Shamwow commercial said, "You know Germans always make good stuff!"

  • I love the quality of the video...

  • is mauser easier to bolt-act than other rifles?

  • lokks it...if kept well oiled..lol

  • Now THIS is a great gun.

I have a Russian capture, want to get a Mitchell's Mausers K98. I know they're basically repro's, but they seem awesome.

  • They're not repros. They're butchered Russian Captures at 4X the price. There's nothing neat or cool or awesome about them, lol. Believe me! Save your money for an ALL-MATCHING vet-bring back K98k, hiding in some neighbor's basement. Believe me, they're the only K98ks worth dropping $400+ on.

  • Butchered? I wouldn't call it that. Butchered would mean cutting up into a deer rifle. These look like valuable all matching knock-offs.

I have no interest in getting one, but they seem like fine mechanically.

  • Gotta love the beautiful German K98!

  • Hm, how did you add the sight hood and would it be possible to add the sight hood of a Kar 98 on another Mauser variation? The action looks really nice in the video.

  • There is a groove on each side of the base of the front sight; you just press the sight hood into the grooves, and thats it. I am not sure if you can add the sight hood from the Kar98k onto another Mauser design, but I have to guess; yes I think it might be possible.

  • Yeah, and make certain you have snap-ring pliers to install the sight hood. It can be a bear to fit into the grooves without them.

  • Another Mauser variation?! lol. Even the M48 front sight hood and the K98k front sight hood aren't interchangeable. So, I doubt that you're gonna be putting any K98k front sight hoods on any Mausers other than 1940 - or later - K98ks. You have to have the grooves in the base of the front sight. And, even then, some Mausers that do sport a front sight hood, will have a different variation. A prime example is the difference between the K98k & M48

  • Nice rifle!! Very nice sound on this vid! ;)
