  • i think this song is about a bloke that beats his partner,

great cover dude, when im playing it i always stumble up on that chord at the bit where the lyrics are " its true"... its a pain. I think ill practice it some more.

  • @corpsemunger Thanks so much. This is definitely a fun song to play. I'm sure you will rock it...

  • It does not do it so badly, bearing in mind that the voice of grohl is difficult to imitate due to his complexity, my qualification: 6 of 10.

  • 0:30-0:33

    asian accent while singing xD

  • @zeppelin88ab My Engrish very superior A1...not to kidding you

  • very nice!!!

    foo fighters for ever!!

    cheers from argentina =D

  • Hey thanks Luchadorfoo, greetings for California :O)

  • please dont do that face when you sing

  • haha, sorry, you must mean my sneezing face. That's just me inhaling :D

  • Great job, both playing/singing. My only suggestion would be that you employ the flange effect at 2:53, (just before the last verse) then you'd be really tight! Your videos are the first time I've learned of a Reverend Guitar. I play black Hamer Standard w/D'Marzio pickups. I can play "My Hero" "Everlong" and "Baker Street" (plus a few others by Offspring, Deftones and Linkin Park) I'd be indebted if you would do a "Monkey Wrench" tutorial.

    Thanks

  • not sure what its about, but the title is a childhood friends name of grohls, and he hoped he'd see it

  • Nice cover, I love the end of the song, Grohl can frickin belt it!!!

  • Hey, thank you, I'm a big fan of Dave as well :)

  • q groso q sos loco!! tocas re bien!!!!

  • This is a sweet as song on guitar

  • U r really good for guitar+singing. 5*

  • Hey, thanks a lot, I appreciate the comment :)

  • wow, nice voice!

  • i dunno what the song is about,

but i know that when dave was a kid, his best friend was called johnny park.

hadn't heard from him for years and thought if he named a song after him he might call.

    that's actual trivia for you.

  • Wow, I didn't know that at all thanks. Where did you hear that?

  • heard him say it live about 3 years ago.

he also said the songs about a lot of different things, but my guess is his divorce, things like that.

    i guess we'll never know

  • Great!!!

  • Thanks a lot man, that means a lot from a metal man such as yourself :)

  • Man, I like your work very much. You look very much like a lyrics person, I'm one of those too. Honestly, this song is pretty cryptic and kinda hard to decipher. I'm kinda attracted by the thought of saying this is about Kurt, but I'm not sure. I've been thinking, anyway, of the last verses in the song, the whole "Now that I've found...". Doesn't that sound harsh? I mean, the song is kinda romantic and sweet, and that ending seems somewhat out of place.

  • Heheh, I thought I responded to this months ago, sorry. Thank you for commenting. I guess you could say I'm slightly a lyrics man. Although it is slightly difficult to figure out some songs on Colour and the Shape (and I think the self-titled is mostly nonsense, haha). His songs are definitely a lot less cryptic now I think. I really like Echoes, Silence, Patience, and Grace...

  • whoa this is good

  • this is awesome

  • Coo dude, thanks for the comment!

  • man your amazing!! could you post a tutorial for this??

  • NICE GUITAR could you please post a demo of it?

  • Great version, cool feelin' bro keep on rockin' ;)

  • Thanks Jeff, I appreciate the comment :)

  • You are always cool!!!Thanks!!!

    MAX

  • Cool Max, I wish you much success :)

  • dude u haven't even talked it's like u dropped off the face of the planet. well, u shld still make those songs and put them on utube

  • I'm sorry, I've been juggling a lot of baskets lately, and the "Youtube" and "original song" baskets have been lying on the floor. I'm still controlled by Earth's gravitational pull though, thanks for asking :)

  • that's a double agent right??

how do u like the p-90?

i have one of the older bolt on warhawks and was wonderin if i should put a p-90 in it

  • I don't know, I love humbuckers, but I love the sound of P-90's as well. Awesome when it's clean and creamy when over driven. It's a fun combination

  • how many reverands have u touched?jk

my immature skool gurl lingo is being tossed at u again. but dude u did great!! awesome talent!

really i'll get u in contact with my cousin

  • i dont think the intro is correct, i think its in drop d and played on the 9th then 7th fret, i could be wrong though, nice job though

  • Heheh, yeah I just watched a live version, you're right!

  • Hey, didn't think you'd actually do it! Your singing was a little off on the louder parts though. Still a good cover I say.

  • Yeah, I have to strain on this. Do you mean the verse or the chorus?

  • Verses. Personally I'd sing a little quieter if I were doing it. As long as you hit the notes! But the chorus' sound nice.

  • Ahhh haha, yes, I need to watch my vids more carefully, I can especially notice it on the second verse :P

  • nice cover dude

  • Great sound.

    ★★★★★

  • The sound of that guitar is really smooth. What type of Reverend is it? Awesome song! 5/5

  • It's a Reverend Double Agent guitar running though an Ibanez TS7 Tubescreamer and Fender BXR Amplifier (not that I know what half of that means, heheh)
