tenor horns are pretty easy to tune ..... buy a good orchestral tuner and tune everyone . then make a small pencil making on the tuning slide for future referance. anyways eventuall ull begin to know how far out the slide should be. id advise leaving out songs with low nots in them as they dont sound too good unless youve been playing at least twice a week for 1 year. try to only use e to b. in our band this is what we find the beginer work best at and to be honest it takes time to develope tone
maybe it was just a bad sound recording-having now heard a few other bands on youtube(none are great!)I wish you all the best and mainly enjoyment through music!
Sure we have! This was a first run thru of the piece -- Nigel who was visiting hadn't played horn in a long while and it was just for that one piece. Tuned or not, we enjoyed his participation. We're not a competition band and just play for the enjoyment. Ever tried to tune four different brands and kinds of tenor horns? So sorry you weren't a bit more kind.
@willandmert Dont want to offrnd but I agree with hornblower1964 it sound a bit (very) off. I have played in brass bands since 1967. Dont think I am a novice. Dont care how many what types of instruments tuning is just tuning. PS befor low pitched instrun=ments were available we used to turn up to solo contests and have our horns tuned to a piano. We still won so obviously we had a good bandmaster.
i got a gold 1 XD THEY'RE REALLY GOOD!!!!!
