at 2,40 donnie said he had to slow down in most of his films and that his speed is fit for the audience to see. The japanese guy laughed and asked if he could go faster in which donnie replied, he can.

donnie yen and jackie chan are not just good martial artists but also very good describers of telling what is what and which is which and how is how or whatsoever. but in my own opinion, I think I like the way how Donnie Yen express things out more than Jackie Chan. Yen's more calm too when it comes to describing. good thing he's not with hollywood now otherwise he wouldnt be this successful nowadays.
I like Donnie's commitment to quality. He noted in the interview that the most important aspect of his films is the story line. Since he knows the action scenes will undoubtedly be good. The story must be able to relate and capture the viewers' hearts. (I don't want to translate the whole thing though:P) Too bad the talent pool in HK is diminished. The A class action, dramatic and comedy stars are getting old and there doesn't seem to be a "next gen" with skill and passion to carry the torch.
@RescueRanger99 yea and also someone who thinks like the martial artists now. i've always wish for wu jing to be the next best action actor but he doesnt seem to know much of choreography, directing, and to catch more audience attentions yet. Wu focus too much on regular acting. but hope to see him in better films.
@azn1980 the japanese guy was asking about donnie's speed in the film and donnie replied he had to slow down for the camera and that he could have been faster... but im not sure what the japanese guy was laughing about lol i dun understand japanese that well xP

Can someone please translate?? Why was Donnie Yen not happy in this interview??

With what Donnie said, I don't think he truly likes Lp Man 1 and 2. Because the story sucks!!

@kowloonbaby08
Actually he was please with the first Ip Man movie. However he wasn't very pleased with the production of the 2nd movie.

@kowloonbaby08 In my opinion Ip Man 1 was really good but I didn't like Ip Man 2. Also Ip Man could have defeated that boxer way faster in real life.
