  • Hace mucho tiempo que no disfrutaba tanto de un video. Simplemente genial.-

  • Lot of Janissary dress in this video.

  • Does anyone know what the sharp tall structure at 1:37 is? Thanks.

  • @lemaindeuday

That is the Monument to the Conquerors of Space in Moscow. It's also seen from a different angle at 1:31 - 1:33. The tip is a rocket and the curvature its exhaust plume. A beautiful design. :)

  • @MyGarygarygary Thanks very much! This was definitely very hard to figure out by searching the web (had also tried Google image compare/search in vain). I also hadn't realized that shown at 1:31 - 1:33 was the same as this one. A beautiful structure indeed!

  • @my1rule Salomon Islands

  • @my1rule is a lullaby sung by natives of the Solomon Islands

    baegu is the language.

  • I cant describe the length nor the idea of how this song captivates me. I look back on all that we are as humans, we are a human force in the world, strong yet vulnerable, lovable yet hateful, rich as we are poor in spirit, I realize, we need each other. Why can't we see that? Then I learn, because we are too afraid to admit such inconcievable truth.

  • This is 20% Cooler! :D

  • Ushuaïa

  • Muaro Picotto sample this song!! "Komodo"

  • @TheDutchGameKiller check my favorite please to learn more about this mysterious song .

  • The lullaby is about a young child crying because his parents are not around. In response his older brother sings this song to comfort, as well as tell him the reality, with an appeal for his deceased parents to protect this child in the land of the living (local ancient belief is that the dead care for loved ones they left behind). - last.fm

  • if you have +150W speakers , turn it loud

  • I am crying(((

  • I am using this song in a Oneness video that im currently making. I was looking for music and found this song. Its so beautiful! I feel at one with everything when I listen to this song. I cant explain it, it brings tears to my eyes when I hear it. I dont understand the language but I can feel the spirit of the people and understand the message. Truly one of the best songs I have ever heard!

  • This is my favorite song ever!!! What language?

  • @sosweetyumii Hi! As far as I known, this duo was on a trip all trought amazonas, recording sounds and voices, and on this track, what we listen is actually a lullaby from a mom to his/her son.

It's not an african language, but it's not also portuguese, is a language from a lost tribe in the middle of the amazonas.

Actually, there's some music instruments from that tribe in others album tracks.

  • @pumasxv ...sweet lullaby was sung by Afunakwa, a Northern Malaita woman from The Solomon Islands malaita (island in the pacific ocean close to australia) deep forest added the music and stole the whole thing , afunakwa died in the 90s , she has no idea that her /song and voice by exploited by deep forest , this song got an international success and generated a lot of money for deep forest 4 millions copies , i have video clip about her in my favorite , you can check it out .

  • what is the landmark with the heads on 1:42 - 1:43 ?? SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME

  • Comment removed

  • This song has always appealed to me though it scares the fucking shit out of me like no other.

  • in a rough translation, i have seen that she is soothing a child to sleep after a family member has died or gone to war or something of the sort...i could be wrong, but i think that is the gist of it. It is soo soothing and peaceful. Loved it in the Buzz Clip days and still do.

  • 1 dislike?! D:

    they have no soul

  • y this video is same as ' white whisper'?

  • I remember...

  • u couldnt love this ...

  • It's really interesting that the vocals from this song were taken from a youngish woman who was recorded circa 1970-71 in the Solomon Islands... she or her family never got a cent from it. She died in the mid to late 1990s. This song was an old traditional chant of the natives on the Islands, called "Rorogwela".

  • @Cellsolid Thanks for this information !! I've read some of it !!! This was then a popular lullaby from people in that place but since when was this lullaby known ???

  • I want this played at my funeral.. and i want everyone to whistle 'the spanish flea' song.. it that really so odd? I'm dead serious lol

  • I love this song but I FUCKING HATE it when I get make fun of while listening to this. They be all like what the fuck are you listening to. I'm like if you don;t like it go away. Really, why can't some people just mind their business?

  • @Lonesky1988 fuck e world.

  • @Lonesky1988 amen.

  • @Lonesky1988 Agreed, people should just accept that everyone has different tastes, I don't why some limit themselves to one genre and look down their noses at others that don't do the same.

  • @Lonesky1988 Sounds to me like these people you speak of have no soul

  • @Lonesky1988 I hear you there...your not alone :)

  • @Lonesky1988 If those people are too closed minded to understand beautiful music from the solomon islands theyre probably under educated or very closed minded. Maybe even both.

  • @Lonesky1988 You make my proud!!!! I am from the Solomon Islands.. and there is nothing more than we love but our music...It is such an indescribable feeling to know that people like you love to listen to one of our known lullabies

  • @Lonesky1988 Don't let that get to you, let this song wash all the negative vibes away and relax :) ! Enjoy ^_^

  • Peaceful & Soulful = Timeless

  • Cool I never even knew there WAS a video for this awsome song! I love it! :-)

I like all those odd trick they did with perspective too. Nice.

  • I was trying to remember who sing this song or the name,, i have none,,, then i was listening to Pandora radio, and I have a station of this kind of music (Ambient), and they played like 5 minutes ago...!! I was so excited,,, know i will look for it on I-Tunes...This a classic!!!!

  • @rockera38 ditto, I grew up with this song but at that time I was to young to remember anything about it (not even the lyrics, just the tune) a decade later I was listening to all our old tapes before selling/getting rid of them and guess what was rediscovered :)

  • One of my fav songs, ever, such a masterpiece MAX DURANFAN

  • Does anybody know what or where is that place between 1:40 and 1:52?

  • @elchavesdel8 maybe like turkey or somthing

  • I saw this video for the first time on MTV back on those days when they place real music.

Nothing like the good old times.

  • I was listening to some techno / trance station on Shoutcast and they played a remix of this by Mauro Picotto called "Komodo." Great mix, but I was like "ew... why i it in english?" because I had remembered downloading this song way way back in the Napster days when I was on a big world-music kick and someone had mislabeled the artist for the song as "Enya" lol...

  • @marlonmbcr I totally agree with you, in Colombia we say "recordar es vivir", in english would be "To remember is to live"
