I mean, I started as a monk a week ago. On your movie (and other older ones), SoJ deals like 90-100 dmg, now it's half of this.

Is that because it was nerfed, or am I doing something wrong?

SoJ deals holy damage which means that when u r fightin uneads, your going to deal ouble dmg. thats why u deal 100 dmg against them and 50 against other foes

Actually, you need only 1 of the 2 energy manage enchantments, and it's really useful to take Blessed Aura, as this lengthens the duration of SoJ. Shielding Hands and Shield of Absorption aren't needed both, and Balthazar's Aura makes them scatter real fast. I usually take Smite Condition and Smite Hex for additional damage, they won't flee from that.

Actually if the Smite Condition/Hex damage is extremely close to the damage off the SoJ, they'll run as if they were being hit by AoEDoT attacks. It's most notably shown when using Zealot's Fire.

I have Balthazar's Aura only for the pack by the ramp leading into the next area because they run back and forth due to low health regardless, so it can help with spiking them down.

I'm pretty sure I tried using only having one of SoA and SH, but the larger groups could kill me in the downtime.

True, and it isn't amazingly useful even in this run. It's only really of any use on that enormous group next to the cliff where you need to spike down the melee (since otherwise they just run back and forth forever).

true the mythical 15 pip regen was nerfed, but you can still get by with the 9 pip regen. It's about the same as Healing Breeze with the runes applied.

u use 5 superior runes of ur profession on ur armor of, so each armor peace get -75

together all armor will be - 375hp with those runes then ur hp 105, then u need a grim cesta from a quest in ascalon city in prophecies, dont really know the name and then u put it on then u have 55 and yeh thats it.

Do not forget the spells. Shield of Judgement which can me obtaind by using an elite Monk tome, or capping it in Mineral Springs(Shiverpeaks). Protective Spirit(Yo can Cap it near Beetletun) and Balthazars Spirit. All this can be achieved in under 20k in game, includding running expenses, totem, etc. The Quest name is: Cities of Ascalon

Tomes + gp, in hardmode, you get 100-300gp from each beastie, also alot of gold drops, increased chance of green drops (although there arent any greens in that area on proph)

Sure, in regular mode. In hard mode, prepare to get killed constantly, and whenever you face a mesmer... ineptitude gets put on you, interrupting your attack, doing about 150 damage to you, and blinding you for the next 10 seconds. This can actually face the really big group on the ledge. It's rather slow due to the monks and melee monsters which run away and heal themselves... but it doesn't immediately die like a dervish would.

i use a simalar build, only difference is blessed aura for balths aura just to make SoJ last longer, but i think ill try balths next time. i farm in Gate of Kryta on hard mode - normally get a few golds and 2k in about 18 mins, which isnt bad after all the drop nerfs. ill try this some time though, see if its faster.

got one at gates of kryta while farming with my ranger :) i started farming them with splinter barrage when hard mode came out :) since got a req 9 15^50 max dmg dead bow and a very unfortunate a req 8 14^50 max dmg sephis axe -.-
