Considering the first established doom metal piece was Black Sabbath's Black Sabbath (which didn't feature any harsh vocals), you can't say that this isn't doom metal (though I'd say it still features regular heavy metal). Saying he should lose some weight here was a pointless comment.

Johan sang on epicus not messiah. Messiah joined the band after johan refused to join. A session player is someone who is hired to play on an a recording whos not in the band. At the time Candlemass had no singer. Messiah in interviews said that he shaped his voice to sound like Johan so he could join the band so how unique is that? On this song it is messiah singing but this is off nightfall not epicus.
