Why is this movie just called Star Trek and not a speciek title? and is this adventure before TOS and the other movies because James Kirk was little in this movie?
I see sequels or at least a trilogy. And you Trek fans that are so "Upset" go jerk off to Deep Space Nine because this is a dead franchise, JJ Abrams is doing you guys a favor! A re-boot of a franchise, not the movies. Get it straight, nothing is better than seeing the good ol' uniforms and hearing the original RED ALERT sound! Oh and the Enterprise, is back baby!

@hereticcs2420 Speaking as a long time Trek fan, I was never upset and agree with you that JJ did us a favour. More than bring back Star Trek, but bringing Star Trek fueled by the sense of adventure and philosophy, and not fueled just by us Trekkies.
@Potrimpo What philosophy? Why are you now lying to people? You know that there is no philosophy in this movie. What must I do to get you to open your eyes, or at least admit that you like the movie because it had "EXPLOSIONS", lots and lots of "EXPLOSIONS".
@Trekfreek Because the movie is "dumbed down", you'd think the philosophy would be simple to spot. Even something as simple as "The coming of age of James T. Kirk" would have been as obvious as a red octagonal traffic sign with the letters S-T-O-P. Yet it went completely over your head.
Not only going from an arrogant young prick to an intrepid starship captain, but also the values and friendship he develops with his crew, and most importantly, Spock.

Second, you forget that I'm older than you by 12 years. Finally here is a bit of advice I share with you from my young collage years "Poke and you show your ignorance. Laugh and you show your teeth. HA! HA!". Stop the personal attacks if you want respect.

I like the original, the next generation, voyager, and enterprise. deep space nine had it's moments but this movie going to be the best. I think,
