Whoever don't think this isn't good. Re-evaluate. It's a pretty damn good arrangement and true to the original and the replacement of the jazz rhythm section with the marching drums were handled tastefully.
wow...im sorry, this really doesnt sound good at all... i defiatly agree, this is a jazz tune, not one to march. i play trumpet in both jazz and marching, if anybody cares, im not actually biased towards just jazz...
and toward the end the band continuously speeds up... listen from about 2:20 on.. it just keeps speeding. sounds like the some of the band is struggling to keep up.
well... we did play this song.. for a field show too. it wasnt that hard. it just depends on whether the individuals are willing to put in the rehearsal hours or not.
Arideath is so full of sh1t, you sound like an idiot who doesn't really know what you're talking about. Oh, Arideath, You're so sweet and can play this tune with so much ease! This is easy for Arideath, they make this band sound like trash! What a joke!!!
ok... i dont go around every youtube video making negative comments. this song wasnt hard to me ok? listen to the actual big band recording and youll hear major differences. i admit, our band had tempo problems in the beginning as well, but like i said above. put in the hours and that can be fixed. i just found the recording and learned by following that. plus owning a metronome helps. i only make these comments when i feel its necessary. and that may be on 10 videos at most.
and i sound like an idiot who doesnt know what hes talking about? maybe if you actually watched the video all the way through, youd hear the mistakes too... why do people take my HONEST comments as insults... maybe take them as suggestions to make the band sound better?
arideath is right. they rush so much because the conductor keeps changing speeds. if theyr going to play a chart like sing sang sung, then perhaps learn to count steadily to 4 first?
typical drummers... we can hit things, so lets go fast :/
thank you oh so much. theres at least ONE other decent musician who takes music SERIOUSLY in the world. thank god. all the idiots who cant hear the mistakes, the sloppy runs, the rushing should drop their instruments and never play again. jk. but seriously, is it so bad to make true and honest comment on a video? god knows that ive bitched about MY own band many times, cause some of them i wouldnt call musicians.
no doubt that's why they don't like you, but hey, at least you're not in my band. if you're going to offer a serious critique of a YOUTUBE VIDEO maybe you should submit it somewhere else. meanwhile, shut up and enjoy the music. if you don't like it, take some midol and go pout somewhere else.
I miss marching band.

I Like IU's arrangement better, BUT the tuba bass line is way way way sicker/sexier.

hmm this is way too rushed for people to enjoy... the way they play it sounds way too quick, as if theyre only trying to get through the piece.
