• Washers keep it from shorting out :O

  • y so many dislikes ??? what does she do wrong ??? pls tell me since im noob @tech xD

  • Comment removed

  • I purposely touch circuit parts while power is on and plugged into the matrix. Do some testing twitching and touching and no electric shock yet.

  • Can someone tell me. Will most motherboards fit l

Medium to large cases? Or what measurements should I look for?

  • @BleedingEdge92 There generally 2 sorts of MoBo's and Cases. ATX and mATX. ATX is big and wont fit micro ATX

  • God, women! Probably broke the motherboard with all the static coming off you!!

  • Or how about just look where the rear I/O ports are supposed be? Use a marker, what?

  • my case has 2 usb connecters for the motherboard but my motherboard only has 1? what do i do?

  • @MrIwesseli just use one, or else you can buy a splitter adapter

  • @wavsunlimited if I use one it they both won't work. Do you have any idea were i can buy a splitter? thanks

  • This is why your not supposed to let women handle electronics... they are so fkn stupid at it. WHY THE FK WOULD YOU WEAR SOCKS ON A FKN CARPET WHILE WALKING ON IT THEN TOUCHING YOUR COMP?? - Jack ass trying to get you electrocuted.

  • I suppose if you had a VERY strong magnetic screw driver you could drop it on just the right spot to unflash your motherboard and brick it, but that isnt going to happen with the very slight magnetic precision screwdrivers you can buy at any tech store.

  • But what cables to plug in where? And no I DON'T got a freaking manual (fucking Dell), and there's nothing on internet. Isn't there just some simple way to plug them in?

  • wow those sweaters..

  • dubly dubly dubly

  • thanks

  • Wrong you never use a magnetic Screw driver so wrong!!!!

  • can u move the curtain and let novice people learn from you.

  • thats a small motherboard......

  • Of course, you should always wear thick socks and moon walk across carpet before installing a motherboard.

  • lol i thought she said clinton computer and i ROFLed

  • I just burned my mouth with baked beans. I blame this lady

  • you can tell she either don't like saying the word screwing, or she thinks its funny and is trying not to laugh. lol

  • "don't use magnetic screwdrivers"... well I say hogwash...I used to work in a electronic repair shop..we fixed computers and all kinds of electronic stuff and we always used magnetic screwdrivers.

What's more I asked a friend who used to make processor chips at northern telecom about this and he said no problem using a magnetic screwdriver.

  • Is that the computer i threw away 9 years ago?

  • what did she show at 1:41?

  • she said directly after, paper washers to stop ur computer shorting out

  • lol noobs

  • noooooobs

  • No you are not allowed to use any magnetic screw driver!! Also anti static pad or use wrist strap to prevent any static charge which can damage componets without realizing it. I don't think she passed the A+ cert

  • how do you ground yourself w/o wrist strap or anti static pad?

  • You can't and a small static discharge can damage the board. That's why you use wrist strap when computer is not plugged in. When it is plugged you don't need a wrist strap but do need an anti static pad under computer and under feet. This will grantee no damage is done to any parts of your self.

  • No you don't. Just touch a metal part of the case and you're good to go. Not to mention static discharge is quite rare.

  • touch the power supply

  • Simply touch a metal part of the case.

  • the magnetic screw driver won't harm your computer if you don't tuch a sensitive parts, like the RAM

  • Please tell me you're a troll.

  • I have Installed and repaired 100's of computer components with a magnetic screwdriver and I have had no failures what so ever.

  • yeah, just dont poke the hard drive with one =)

  • Too bad you have to have it near your PC to use it.

  • Zoomg thats my HP at the start on the very right xD

  • okay....she was good about telling us about the stand offs for the mobo but seriously what is she on about telling people to use a slightly magnetic screw driver O.o thats like saying "here timmy use this flame thrower to get your cat out of that tree" yeah you just don't do it. i feel sorry for anyone starting out who has used these as a guide

  • its to keep the screw to the screw driver when you hold it above he motherboard so you dont lose the screw but when she said SLIGHTLY she means like a screwdriver with enough force to keep the screw on but when screwing in it comes of if you get what i mean:)

  • She said slightly magnetic, it will NOT cause damage.

  • A magnetic screwdriver is only useful when you're not screwing together important parts....

Otherwise it will fry your drive quicker then a big mac ._.

  • LAWLZ MANG

  • OMG!! did she said to better have a magnetic screw driver??? wtf this fat bitch is useless. Using a magnetic screw driver means that it can build up charges trhough the motherboard and it will be fucked up... omg those idiots from expert villages dont know a thing

  • Lmao it's because her stomach magnetises to the north pole

  • haha xD

  • But tbh i think shes done a myrical to not lift up the computer case lol

  • lol doubly doubly doubly

  • lol @ dubly dubly dubly dot

  • hahaha i heard that

  • wtf

  • EXPERT VILLAGE?!

  • Comment removed

  • stephanie sucks

  • l0l

    Learn computers noob.

  • lol "use a magnetic screw driver"

  • "It also helps to have a slightly magnetic screwdriver," is what she said, a tiny magnetic field like that would not affect the motherboard.

  • i hope your motherboard will get damage or electric shock noob! fuck off! stupid noob!

  • y u gonna hate for.

  • because this piece of shit doesnt know shit...if you would have installed a mobo the way she did up there you woudl have fucked it up

  • the first video from this woman actually, that is helpful!

  • OMG HAHAHA LOFLMAO

  • how to du

  • Amazing the childish comments left here. These are from people with little enough experience to do the job without seeking assistance. They criticize who is teaching? This was a short but sweet example with clear video, a modern enough motherboard and I didn't see any steps that were missed. Good Job!

  • !!!...can i replace my motherboard with anotheroane and replace my old processor to the new motherboard? or the cooler?

  • theoretically you can do this but you have to make sure the new motherboard supports all your components (especially your processor - and stuff like graphics cards etc)

  • i did it

  • this shitty instructions are for senior citizens lmao damn it sucks

  • lol is that a micro atx :D peice of shit

  • wow if you get a magnetic screwdriver your comp is fucked everything it gets close to is dead

  • like you!

  • wait, is this really true?

  • No.

  • I've built like 30 computers in my time and I use a magnetic screw driver every time and I've never once had a problem with anything I've built or upgraded!

  • doubleyee, doubleyee, doubleyee rofl, her failenglish dats unposible

  • wtf don't yous a magnatic screw driver

  • wow, this vid must be for people who absolutely no knowledge of computers, like they never even seen one. lol

  • I WILL NOT TAKE TIPS FROM A WOMAN!

  • sexist

  • that's me.

  • FULLY

  • She did a few things wrong.

    1. You Don't touch the motherboard without proper ESD protection. You could potentially kill your mobo.

    2. You only use the paper washers when there is no metal washer around the screw holes. The screws need to contact the small metal rings around the screw holes for proper grounding.

  • what motherboard shuld i get wit the intel core 2 duo e8500 processor?i dont kno wats compitable with it? also wat video car wuld be good for gaming?

my price range is around 1600. im going to build my own desktop for the 1st time.

any tips or pointers for buidling wat to put in my desktop wuld help a ton thanks.

  • you could biuld a freakin monster with 1600

    god dang

i dont know what mother bourd would be compatible but for video it would be good for a nVidia geforce 8800 gt PCIe

or mabe for a little cheaper a ATI radeon 9800 pro

get them both with around 100mb and up memory installed

    BTW ebay is a friend

  • @shadows3323 So, how stupid do you feel whenever you look back on this comment you made 2 years ago?

  • @RSSsailing i was like 12.

So naw, i dont feel stupid. plus, u can still build a nice pc wit 1600 bucks.

fuck ebay tho, newegg or tigerdirect.

Dont u feel kinda stupid replyin to a 12 year old's comment that he made 2 years ago? Or naw, thats jus seems normal to somebody who has no life

  • I'm not entirely sure that Shadow knows anything about his references as the 9800Pro from ati is a VERY outdated card, and the 8800GT no longer sits in a prime spot in the market (especially for your budgetary range) and ignoring the memory comment entirely. I noticed that you posted this a month ago, so if you still need help,i'll be happy to make some component suggestions for you via PM or other means of contact as listed in my channel.

  • hello, like gamesinewpc i see this was posted a month ago, so well done if you have bought the components if not heres some advice. im also upgrading my pc, what you must look for in a motherboard is three things firstly for your core you need a LGA775 socket, 2nd it would be a good idea to try to get a boeard with PCI express 2.0, and 3rd try DDR3 to future proof your pc. after the motherboard everything else is simple. the graphics card try a gtx 260 216 core or hd4870, feel free to email

  • bit old to comment but the asus P5Q series are very good for your 45nm cpu

  • i learn'd nothing..

  • this was really useful for me when I built my first PC. I watched the whole series as I built it.

  • It teach they how works 8259A,8080 I think this will be more interesting :D:D:D

  • this bitch knows nothing.

  • wait wait wait!!! i thought magnetism was bad for your PC?!?!?

  • actually magnetic screwdrivers are only bad for floppies, otherwise they are safe

  • i fried my graphics card from them paying like 120 pound

  • That's a new one "Slightly Magnetic", either it is or is not Magnetic I would have thought. Where can I pick one of those up :)

  • "Slightly magnetic" must mean the magnet discriminates and only chooses certain atoms to line up.

  • that racist bastard magnet!!! XD

  • ROFL

  • As long as there are'nt any black electrons slipping in front of the white ones in the screwdriver.

  • make sure none of the black ones are rosa parks!

  • i learned NOTHING

expert village suck!!! how to vedios by randome regular ppl are way more helpfull

keep it up general youtube poppulation !

  • LOGAN RULE

  • women do bad tutorials for men

  • i mean i not u.....type wrongly

  • hey u just wanna learn how to build a fastest processor.....

  • Troll.

  • isn't a magnetic screw driver bad for a pc? Especially for the HDD?

  • This is a joke! She never even spoke about or did ground her self.

  • wow...i could have done a better job......O.O

  • I never seen a bitch build a computer first time for everything

  • Personal Computer Computer? Wow so smart.

  • WTF is this bitch thinking? I've heard from TONS of people that you should NEVER use a magnetic screwdriver.

  • Well you can on other stuff just not the mobo..

  • LOL a PC Computer ROFL

  • u dont use a magnetic screwdriver ffs

  • There's nothing "expert" about expert village.

  • This is not the way of how to install motherboard. No one would like to take in and out the motherboard for just testing on how to install it. By the way the base screws maybe change place depend on your motherboard guy. I would not recommend to install memory before screwed first.

  • "it will be impossible to take the screw out if to much preasure which leading to brakeing"

you can take it out retart

  • She means not to strip the screw meat head.

  • A slightly magnet screw driver, oh god kill me.

  • lol if theres any proberlms when she turns it on its cause of that

  • The walkthrough was unbearably vague, there is no mentioning of plugging in the sockets for any of the components that must be plugged in (ON button, reset, etc). This isn't how to install a motherboard, this video should be titled 'how to screw in a motherboard and quite possibly ruin it at the same time).

If I could give 0 stars I would.

  • I couldn't agree more, this video is not well thought out.The Tigerdirect Motherboard install video goes into much better detail about what you must do to keep things from going wrong and how to prep before the install.

  •
"Hi my name is stephanie and in this video we'll show you how to not ground yourself, where clothing extremely prone to electromagnetic buildup, and use magnetic equipment around highly sensitive computing hardware all at the same time."
she just wants to have the hardware failing on her i bet she doesnt even know that a how to ground her self let along dressing properly for the job

  • Of course you can run a computer without a case, though it's not the best thing. Look for example at vid 8rNeZP-SHtI

  • Can i run a computer without a case.

  • yes but it is pointless, u can get a very nice one for £30

  • i have a quick question...

i want to install a graphics card, but it doesnt fit, so yes, i need to move my motherboard back, but i dont know how to do it,

will you describe how to that please?

    i would really appreciate it.

  • Maybe it's the slot dude. But if you kno' what you're talking about, maybe it's the case. When building a PC, the case is one of the last thing you consider buying.

  • yeah i know.. its the case.. i need to maybe saw up my case or find someone to move my motherboard back... >.>

  • It's best you buy a nice cast for like a hundred USD. It's probably more practical to do that. If that's a little too pricey consider me. In my country a PC "rip-off small" case is $800.00. It's in your best interest to jus' buy a new one buddy.

  • crap..

  • jesus christ i've seen kids with annoying voices make better tutorials than this crap! for some reason i would rather watch their video's than this you have no idea what your doing you didnt even have a ground and your wearing a SWEATER! HOW RETARDED ARE YOU! obviously very retarded

  • hello my name steifenie im a big fat ugly bitch, biggest loser regected me.

  • "Hi my name is stephanie and in this video we'll show you how to not ground yourself, where clothing extremely prone to electromagnetic buildup, and use magnetic equipment around highly sensitive computing hardware all at the same time."

  • haha, look at that little thing!

  • this is like sometihng you'd see on sesame st or barney! lmao

  • very hard to do this... LOL!

  • Nice try, but I would NOT recommend this video to someone after you almost fried your CMOS.

  • LMAO! OMG! "slightly magnetic screw driver" sooooooooooooooo dumb

  • didn't even ground herself on the case atleast!!

  • pooooooooo

  • Well that was good... :/

  • lol

  • crap
