Have just had a tow-bar fitted and bought a bike rack for the car - scarborough to whitby is one of the first trips we will do - thanks for posting the video!
@drewtonhouse : I thought about doing the full Scarborough - Whitby. I think its about 17 miles each way. The section I did took 2 hours each way. I would recommend Dalby Forest for its Red Route Mountain bike ride. Scarborough is cool too.
Yes you should have gone down to Robin Hood's Bay but as you say you were just tired (fair enough). However that doesn't stop this video from being one of the best I've seen on Youtube. Good commentary, great photography. Biked round the area myself and it is beautiful.
appreciate your comments anbrjd. The HD really helps the quality of the film. The editing is done on Imovie on a MAC. I hope to get Final Cut Express 4 for Christmas which is the next level up for editing. Good weather and great locations help as well!
yeah...I do feel bad..The old station was now a car park, so I did not film it. I was pretty keen to get to the viaduct and Whitby on the way out. Coming back, I should of gone down to sea at Robin Hood's Bay in hindsight. I was just tired from the 2 previous days of mountain biking and the climb up to Ravenscar is pretty long. Next time, i will do it properly!
