  • (0:30) "....I'll let you live"

  • the part where lore said i love you brother made me cry

  • @burntvalve86 Me too, but then a part of me wonders if he really meant it. He is a manipulator after all. I want to believe he meant it, because he did feel something for his father. Earlier in the episode where he was getting mad at him, Soong tells him he's dying and he freaks out, saying "You look fine!" over and over again, as though trying to will it to stop happening. Then he kills him at the end of that scene above in a fit of rage. Sometimes I just don't get him.

  • Can you picture Michael Rosenbaum playing a younger Data or Lore?

  • Both in "Datalore" and in "Brothers" Lore is deactivating Data and switch clothes with him. He sure likes to undress his own brother!

  • @suizokukan Loool!! :P I always say "Seriously Data, you fell for the ol' switcheroo twice in a row?! Seriously? Good job." *thumbs up*

  • i love these 2 but i remember when i was little i used to be SOOO afraid of lore hehe he is kinnda scary :)

  • @LittleRetroChick I know, he is!! Yet extremely fascinating, and with an emotional backstory. There's a fanfiction, can't remember what site it's on, called Hidden Evil I believe, and if it were complete I swear it could be cannon. It starts from Lore first being activated onward, and at first he's as innocent as Data!! Then the colonists hate him for what he is, and he becomes bitter and depressed, and prone to violent outbursts. It's fantastic, anyway! :D

  • Oh man I liked so the episodes with Data and Lore, because both characters are so diffrent

  • @Bra1de Very much represent duality, don't they?

  • I always felt sorta sorry for Lore. I mean her did go through alot throughout the series. Don't get me wrong, I understand all the horrible things he did, but there were times when I could understand his motives.

  • Lore sounds like the hooded claw.

  • Lore is a dick.

  • "Are you prepared for the kind of death you've earned little man?!" Haha love Lore :)

  • I cryed when data deactivated his brother lore and he said I love you brother its very sad.

  • it must have been very difficult for Brent Spiner to play two completely different characters like that. Switching from being a completely emotionless Data to Lore, who is just filled with sarcasm and anger. Even the way they move is so different. Hes a wonderful actor.

  • You know I think most people would be ok with Wesley becoming a human torch.

  • He's a gangster! XD

  • wow, that's one hell of a evil twin brother....except in nemesis.

  • lore should have bin the number one enemy on star trek.. he could have taken over the romulan Klingon empires and attacked the federation

    maybe in another dimension....

    fuck im a nerd

  • LORE RULEZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I used to hate lore now i see him as... having different ideas than data. that ending was what changed my mind. I... love you... brother.

what episdoe was that anyway? I need to see it to understand more fully why he needed to be deactivated.

  • @BethVidz Descent, Part I and 2

  • @BethVidz Descent, and Lore sort of lead an army of individualized Borg and brainwashed Data to betray Starfleet and to perform a dangerous operation on Geordi involving converting an organic brain to a positronic brain.

  • My favorite scene is when they first activate him, he looks up and smiles and says, "You may call me Lore." It's so cynical. Spiner captured it perfectly. He's an amazing actor.

  • 3:11, "where's Data"

love the voice he mimicked him with lol

  • Anyone else realise that Lore likes taking his brother's clothes?

  • advantages of being completely human... =(

  • "Back off! Or I'll turn your little man into a torch!"

The only one turning my little man into a torch is my urologist....

  • They should have used him more. He was way more interesting then Data.

  • Nice complilation. Data & Lore are classic adversaries Brent does a great job. Love them. Thanks.

  • what episode is at 2:10???

  • what ever happened to lore?

  • @ghostbirdofprey After Data deactivated him, Lore was disassembled and donated to Starfleet for research.

  • @ghostbirdofprey start trek nemesis.

  • @ghostbirdofprey he was deactivated and presumably disassembled just like they found him

  • @ghostbirdofprey He was de-activated by Data in the episode where Lore became a leader of rogue Borg.

  • @ghostbirdofprey He was caught and dismantled, i found it a bit unfair, he should have had a trial, at least.

  • @TheAtheistFuture Dude, he killed an entire planet. AN ENTIRE PLANET!!! Well, technically he didn't, but it was his idea and he made it possible.

  • @moongirl786 So what if he killed a planet, he still needed a trial! Not just instant death sentence, and in the 24th century, humans have abolished the death sentence, so he shouldn't have been dismantled. If he had been an organic life form it would have been a different story.

  • @TheAtheistFuture That's a good point, if he had been organic it would have been different. Reminds of the episode from season 2 I believe where there is a trial to debate if Data should be treated as an equal being. I remember being incredibly incensed that they would even need to call that into question! :)

  • @moongirl786 Yes, that's what i mean, they went to the trouble of an entire episode to establish that these androids are sentient life forms only to have it completely dismissed some seasons later.

  • Often-Wrong's got a broken heart. Can't even tell his boys apart.

That whole scene is one of my favorite Lore moments

  • The scenes with Lore, and Data's laughing attack in Generations have me convinced that Brent Spiner would be an awesome actor to play the Joker.

  • @Iomeces or riddler.

  • @Iomeces SO. FREAKING. TRUE. :D

  • @Iomeces He did end up playing the Joker. In the cartoon series, "Young Justice", Brent Spiner voiced the Joker in the episode "Revelation".

  • @Iomeces You know he voiced Joker for one episode of the TV show Young Justice, and I'm hoping he does more!!!! :D

  • Brent Spiner is one of those few actors that can play multipal roles in a franchize.

  • Would love to see you add the bit where Data and Lore are quarelling in "brothers" and data is repeating "I am NOT less perfect than lore" and then lore gives him sass about it and they are ordered to sit down!

  • Wow-thanks! I'm in the process of writing a Lore fanfic, and this is great for using to see his manerisms and whatnot in a quick reference kind of way!

  • Whoa, wait a minute, was that Data or Lore who shot Dr. Crusher in the first scene?

  • That was Lore. Earlier in the episode Lore switched uniforms with Data to try and confuse everyone to thinking Data was actually Lore.

  • Oh, OK. I couldn't really tell, and I was thinking Why the hell would Data shoot Dr. Crusher?
