Sure, you can catch it, you'd need a long ass line to get all the way to the bottom of the ocean though and by the time you brought it up the pressure would ruin it anyways but knock yourself out =D

Looks like he moved a little and sucked him in, instead of chomping down. That's why it looked so fast. Angler fish have always been one of my favorite aquatic animals. They just chill at the ocean floor with a pimp night light on the head. How the hell do these cameras get down there without being crushed to pieces anyhow?

yeah its amazingly fast, even in slow motion. i dont even know if anyone could catch a angler fish with a fishing rod, i´ll inform myself. but its flesh is distinguished as a delicacy. i wonder why the most ugly fishes like angler fish and wolffish have the most palatable flesh. Wolffish are reeaally ugly. i searched for this fish cause i recognized that the angler fish has somekind of turquoise eyes - and thats extremely rare, in fact i don´t know any other animal with turquoise eyes..

Yes, the Angler fish only use this metod to catch his prey. They are exelent to hide themselves at the bottomn, It's very to spot it. It's often caught with fishing rod and jiggers. They are in great numbers in Norway, and we call them "Breiflabb" ;-)
