The overplaying will take care of itself as you get older whether you're conscious of trying to address it or not so don't worry too much I'd have to say from my lofty aged position I currently hold. Nice job on that lick too it's hard to nail that.

@Mephisbasseles cheers, my overplaying is pure habit, I can fit the role of a 'normal' bass player when needed, but vids like this are just a bit of fun. I come from the school of listening to Mark King too much who also can overplay - but really well! My Light Of The World vid 'I Shot The Sheriff' is much more 'in the pocket' than this, check it out if you like....

Nice chops. Playing this with a 3-4 piece band would sound great. If you played this with a full band (horns, perc, etc) I think you'd need to let the song breathe a little more.
