  • I'm trying to play this peace with the score i found in the net, is not so much difficult, but is not easy to feel free plying with the slaps and harmonics you must play in the intro very fast. My favorite sax-peace, he s a master.

  • @butahib favourite piece

  • 5:34, PEACE, I KILLED IT!

  • Peter Martin sure knows how to create good music!

  • 4:32 - what an awesome lick!

  • anyone knows what mouthpiece is joshua using in this video?

  • @aamz145 otto link ... here is a hard rubber but i don't know the model. this are the models he uses Florida Super Tone Master 7*/ Florida Otto Link 7* & 9* Hard Rubber / Brilhart Hard Rubber Personaline 7*

  • his reed should have blown up into pieces after this.

  • @idymface I think your friend just shat his brains out....

  • I just wet myself

  • did he win?

  • 3 people will not get laid someday. yes I am talking to you, disliker of such a sexy video!

  • @banditjr770 i was like wow whoever said that comment is a boss. then i looked at the username. tru dat brah!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @willuvbb I like men

  • 2 people tried to play the intro and passed out approximately 20 seconds in.

  • NICE THREADS!

  • Ok obviously the 2 people that don't like this don't understand the music, how difficult it is to do on sax, or quite possibly jazz?

  • @thejazzmasterx Just because it's difficult to play on the sax, it doesn't have to sound good. In Redman's case, it does sound amazing though!

Also keep in mind that many people who aren't familiar with jazz music will find a tune like this very abstract and weird listening to!

  • I've played the sax for 12 years. What he's doing is so INSANELY hard. Seriously, this guy is amazing. One of the best sax players I've ever heard. So much control.

  • Yeah seriously who disliked this video?

  • imagine the amount of girls he gets

  • @skezzad he's married haha

  • Ok who Disliked this?

  • 1 person has serious issues wit there sexuality........

  • this guy has a ridiculous amount of groove

  • one of the best song ever composed

  • this made my day. so sick... love it.

  • yeah this band was awesome. the new stuff is really cool too, but I dig the records with this rythm section

  • Damn

  • Qué espectacular!!!

  • delta city blues vs. hide and seek?

  • Whoever was the person who disliked this video, then they have no musical sense whatsoever.

    Joshua Redman is sensational.

  • @djmalestar You are so right, this is not some kind of musician, he is a gifted, original, innovating and so much more ... His first album was the reason why I started learning playing sax. But although I play many years, this is just another level.

  • so funky!

  • He started that so intense! I love how he instantly backed off. Killer solo!!!

  • It dies down near the point when they all realize the tuning is off, but the intro is pretty amazing. They picked it up at the end, too, and that's the sign of real musicians.

  • @emuwithrabies actually sounds fine to me...

  • TIger Woods on the sax everybody

  • Peter Martin is an absolute motherfucker of a keys player. Him and Dan Nimmer. Damn. Mah shizzorts are pluh-huh-laaaasterd to my chair..

  • some of the damn finest sax playing i ever did saw

  • Holy shit, what a great solo by Peter Martin. (Redman's no slouch neither, obviously.)

  • 1:51

  • Nastiest cat alive, omg

  • just fell out of my seat watching this. just an all around brilliant performance!!

  • how the heeeeeellll is slapping done...????????

  • gotta kinda flick tongue the mouthpiece w enough air behind it to get the reed to vibrate

  • It's slap-tonguing. Just google that and something useful should come up. You're basically flattening your tongue against the reed and creating a vacuum-seal effect. Then you sharply pull your tongue away from the reed and blow a "paa-" of air at the same time to create the tone while the popping effect is affecting the reed. If you want to hear more, James Carter does it all of the time.

  • DAAAAAMMN!!!!!!!! Sickest thing I think I've ever Redman play

    O_o wow

  • ragazzi questo è un grande punto e basta

  • Truly a Parker of the 20th Century

  • AMAZING!!!

  • Now seriously, this is just plain sick! Every time I see this it brings me into a laughing hysteria in which I promply lose balance and most bodily control. Indescribably genius!

  • sick as piss dude! I just literally shat myself. Now there's SHIT. EVERYWHERE. holy SHIT!

  • Unbelievable...

  • damn i wanna learn that intro now...

  • The whole thing or just the slap tonguing between C# and E with the high C#

  • Saw Josh in Sydney last night. Amazing.

  • Amazing this guy is Epic! He went to Harvard too! This guy was front of the line when they were handin out talent. I wish i could get that sorta sound outta my horn

  • Just brilliant.

And the intro is the ultimate sex.

  • blade on the drums... this is hella band

  • Sweet!

  • incredible!

  • amazing...

  • damn...that intro is just too sexy...
