  • You guys rock! I wish I was closer to you out there rather than here in California. I'd be a groupy;). Love hearing your music and thankful for all of the instructional videos.

  • Double-mint, twice the goodness : ) Awesome sound thanks for posting.

  • Yeah, do a bluegrass album - I'll be first in line to buy it.

  • I think your music is the most greatest music ever. I thank the good lord above for music like yours.

  • transitions, people, are preferable to repeating the entire song for one boo-boo. Just guessin'...........

  • @esparka Haha! Though a lot of people DO do that, I promise you that this was all one take with no editing! The Shure KSM32 mic is the only mic that's used, and the only thing I did was add a tad of reverb to the channel. Now, we may have to play the song half a dozen times, but it's all one take :)

  • @BanjoBen1 So you shot this with two cams right? If you just did hard cuts nobody would have thought of you trying to glue different takes together. Soft cuts, effect cuts, dissolve cuts and all this stuff psychologically separates the parts. They are used to mark a change in time or place. If you don't want that effect, use simple hard cuts instead. They psychologically join the parts and are hardly even noticed by the viewer. Try it!

  • @Fitzliputzli23 Yeah, but the other cuts are so FUN! Haha! :)

  • @BanjoBen1 Haha! Yes, they are! But it gives your film an unprofessional touch. Which is a shame because your music is on a professional level. With transition effects it is pretty much the same as with guitar effects: A beginner tends to put in too much reverb, delay, chorus and all this stuff, simply cause he owns them and they are "so much fun". A pro has learnt to use or avoid them in a way they fit the music best. You're music deserves to be edited in a pro-manner not in a beginner's level.

  • @esparka It's true that sometimes you have to do a pickup from a mistake, I can gaurantee that the angle shots were on purpose to show the picking of the banjo and to keep the publics interest. Great job on the video!!!! Great music!!!!!!

  • Hmm, looks like someone was experimenting with video transitions on a two camera shot. What, no star wipe? ;)

  • Really nice!

  • Wow! This is just the greatest. Gwen

  • haha awesome guys ya'll are cooking!

  • Wow! Your sisters look just like you, but in hot chick form!

  • Yessir!

  • Great driving tune and vocals, you're blessed to be playing together, nothing beats playing with siblings, parents, grandparents and offspring. I've been lucky enough to play with my son on a regular basis, it's one of my greatest pleasures. Good luck guys and I love the twins vocals.

  • Great!

  • Dadgumit...I sure wish I lived closer to you all...I'd be right in there with my old standup...I really dig your music Purple Hulls...

  • When will you guys do an album of Gospel tunes?

  • yall should perform at Galax fidlers conventionin august

  • Are you guys gonna do an album with this kind of stuff? I'd definitely be interested in that!

    Well done!

  • @jdalton1611 We are going to record a bluegrass gospel album when we've raised enough money :) You can support the recording of our gospel album by purchasing our current country album on iTunes, Amazon, etc. Thanks!

  • If you don't mind me asking, how much cash did you drop for that Mcpherson?

  • @270Gmoney I'm an endorsed McPherson artist, so I got a deal on it :) I can say that it is the finest guitar that I've ever owned, and I said that about McPhersons before I was endorsed! They're absolutely the most perfectly constructed guitar ever made. I got to go to their factory in Wisconsin and it blew my mind! Plus, the people behind the name are what really make the company...none finer anywhere.

  • @BanjoBen1 I have always wanted one, but I've never even got to lay hands on one, I live in Mississippi and the nearest dealer is in Atlanta, Georgia. I really want to play one soon so I can know which tone woods to get!

  • @BanjoBen1 I am curious if this is the same McPherson company from Wisconsin that makes bows? That would be my ideal company, make bows and guitars!

  • @opnwhl4 Yep, that's them! Of course their bows used to be called McPhersons, but now they are called Mathews...best bows in the world! I have the Z7 Magnum!

  • @BanjoBen1 That's Awesome! I never knew they made guitars. Got to check them out. I used to shoot Mathews, loved my Q2 but turned to the "Dark" side and bought a Hoyt XTec. Really like What Mathews is doing and have tried out their new bows every year, but just can't justify a new one yet. Well at least in the wife's eyes anyway, LOL!

  • Nice work that was really good.

  • Just excellent is all. Just out of curiosity, what mic. are you using there? I'm currently looking to purchase a good mic. for bluegrass vocals/harmony etc. ??

  • @shodobe1 Thanks! That is a Shure KSM32. Great mic!

  • I just love you guys!

  • Nice one.....:-)

  • Wow, awesome!!!

  • really good! :D
