  • Do you know which bach composition inspired this tune?

  • @MunisAwesome No I do not; I think it was just inspired by the baroque period overall.

  • thnks for this... i love how it was played half the speed and then sped up to gwt tht sound

  • Thanks! I've always wanted to hear this.

  • @panchobehrmann As did I and I figured many other did too, so I uploaded it. Thanks for the comment!

  • I used to do this with the album by sloing it down from 33 1/3 RPM tp 16 RPM and also on reel to reel from 15 ips to 7 1/2. Fun stuff.

  • It wasn't a piano..it was a mellotron.

  • @spacecowboy7580 Mellotron was the beginning of Strawberry Fields Forever. This was a piano, but sounds like a harpsichord

  • @spacecowboy7580 Even the sped up version didn't sound like Mellotron, he recorded it on piano, then they sped it up to sound like a Harpsichord, mission accomplished in my opinion :)

  • i think. when they're record it, they do it as fast as we hear it today.

  • THAT'S A LIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @jicm2005 What's a lie?

  • i dont know the story, but as an audio engineer... sounds like it may be true..first part sounds like it was sped up.. that trill at 0:04 before goes up the scale.. that is definition of BPM change.. it just doesnt sound natural.. u know? but who knows..maybe it was real... midi was not around then..

  • Thank you.

I always wanted to hear what George really played. I knew it was just a slower version speeded up, but this gives it more meaning.

    Again - Thank you.

  • I thought it was a harpsichord :L

  • What evidence do you have that it was originally played in that particular key and at that speed?

  • @orpheusband It is very well known - go research it. This is legit.

  • hmm...i think they should have you used the original! i mean the sped up version does work well but George Martin is a brilliant pianist! I couldn't see why anyone would want to remix his work....but i guess it just had to do with the tempo and the rhythm of the song. i guess it just wouldn't flow well.

  • No matter what speed. You can tell Sir Martin is talented. Great video.

  • @ILoveTheBeatles618 He'll always be the fifth Beatle in my mind. Thanks!

  • @RobFischPA You're welcome! And yea me too!

  • Which is the Bach song that influenced Martin?

  • Wow, how did I not know about this?

  • lol George Martin didn't have the chops to do it at normal speed! He's on a lot of their early-and-mid stuff playing, like the triplets in "Long Tall Sally." By "Sgt. Pepper," it was, "We got this, George." :)

  • @SlappyFrankenstein jajaja no! He had to play it slowly so when they sped it up it wouldn't affect the song's Tempo! Quite a drag because it HAD to be the right speed to match the song's Tempo again!!!!!!

  • beatles chopped and screwed lmao

  • Some people can actually play it that fast

  • Martin recorded it in the studio before the Beatles arrived, so they wouldn't object. They loved the final effect.

  • It's kind of heartbreaking at that speed. George Martin - what a talent.

  • That would have been a lot easier on rockband

  • @thezach0504 lmao i always pussy out and just play bass and sing on this song :p

  • @thezach0504 Bahahaha, indeed son.

  • es mejor la rapida

  • george that sneaky bastard lol

  • Comment removed

  • lol you do not own the beatles

  • I love the really low vocal sound at the very end. XD

  • @Asbduhas Thanks! ;D

  • @RobFischPA

    Why are you thanking him?

  • @Asbduhas Like an "aa"

  • ahhhhhh robbie how do you get such good sound quality!?!??!!?!??!
