  • thank you for the excellent tomato soup tip chef!

  • can I use tomato puree instead of soup? I want to try this ASAP looks great!

  • @ThumperTO Yes, but I recommend adding a pinch of sugar to it, as this will help reduce the acidity in the tomato puree ;)

  • @OnePotChefShow brilliant, Thank You!

  • Great idea to use the tomato soup and will try this recipe..I think 2 cans may be too much but that is just my taste I guess, dont want it to be too saucy but thanks for the recipe

  • @Wyseguy67 help c18gregjockca

  • I eat this dish for dinner in a heart beat!

  • Tomato soup ? hmm who would of thought ..

  • 22 chickens watched this

  • Y BUTTER CHICKEN SOOOOO NICE

  • can i use juice out of squashed tomatoes instead of canned tomato juice ?

  • @QuinnFabforeveerrr I used Tomato Soup for this recipe, not juice ;)

  • have you lost weight? You look ALOT thinner!

  • tried this dish a couple of days ago and it was a winner! Even my pickiest of dinner guests enjoyed it...thanks you for this quick version....

  • I just wanna thank you so much for this recipe! I'm a big lover of all things indian and although this recipe is sort of cheating its so easy and is amazing!!! i made it for my family and they went nuts! thank you @onepotchefshow

  • Well... I never!

  • hey bro!!...nice job...but this isnt the real deal...u hv more time saute tomatoes(with clover and garlic) and make a paste of the same plus try having butter chicken with butter naan(indian bread)...ull LOVE it.....contact me if u need more...ill send u the entire procedure...id love to demonstrate but im not a great presenter plus i dont hv neone 2 work with cams....the original version this simply awesome....n btw i tried this and it really turned out to be great!!

  • @topgunitsme As I stated, this is a "pantry" version of Butter Chicken, for people looking to make dinner in a hurry ;)

  • @OnePotChefShow hey bro can u make a mango cheese cake please

  • @MusicIzMySavior You can use my "Strawberry Cheesecake" recipe - just replace the strawberries with mango puree ;)

  • @topgunitsme I guess you missed the part when he said "this isn't a Traditional Recipe" LMAO

  • Healthiest version of butter chicken I've ever seen.. :)

  • @Beachbabe55846 say what?

  • This is lovely. Gotta love recipes you can make right now without an extra trip to the store. You're the best David.

  • Nom nom nom......this looks absolutely scrumptious!! Thighs work better cuz it's dark meat. Stronger and more pliable fibers, along with more fat, makes it sooooo much better...you out did yourself again, my friend!

  • @OnePotChefShow am so jealous when you taste the dish :p

  • Any substitutes for tomato soup

  • @DesertMURASAME Yes, use a can of Cococnut Cream and add 2 Tablespoons of Tomato Paste ;)

  • It looks almost hot pink! (the tm sauce haha) oh well bet it was delicious!

  • i prefer the thighs as well! much more juicy and flavorful!!!

  • I love this...the chicken looks amazing. Thank you so much for sharing this recipe with us!!!

  • i made this yesterday after watching ur video!! sooo yummy!!!

  • Do you have other receipes that has to be eaten with rice...because my culture,we eat rice everyday with gravy-receipe.....i'm going to try this one too!

  • Cool use for tomato soup, bet it makes the sauce nice, smooth and rich.

  • nice stroganof

  • Ok, so I tried this yesterday. It was so simple that I decided to spice it up a little. I added some garlic paste and finely chopped yellow peppers, as well as some paprika powder and chopped cilantro. It was spectacular. Thanks for the inspiration! This is now part of my culinary arsenal.

  • that tomatoe soup IS PINK/PURPLE. lol artifical crap

  • @0RespectMyAuthority0 It's just the lighting - I'm not in my usual kitchen at the moment ;)

  • tomato soup?? I have got to try this...

  • When you bring out your big pot, it just makes my day! Keep it coming:-)

  • "You can't do that. You can't do that." Hahahaha!!!! made me laughed quite a bit :P

  • That looks really good!

  • this chicken curry recipe rocks my highest rating 10 out 10 stars

  • i love how you enjoy the food you prepare!!! (hence: giggle) so cute :D

  • @OnePotChefShow

Hey I love your videos and stuff, but i barely get to make anything you make. for my birthday which is in a week i wanna ask my mom to make something you made in your video, everything you made looks just so gooooooooooooooooood, what do you recommend?

  • @VongolaXEspada Why not try the "Mini Lemon Cheesecakes" - they are delicious and very easy to make. Happy Birthday for next week ;)

  • <3 from India! :)

  • A common misconception with Indian cooking is the use of curry powder. We absolutely do not touch the stuff but instead, use Garam masala. However, little goes a long way so try using half of what you did curry powder. Also, use curds or plain yogurt instead of sour cream. Past that, excellent version of chicken makhani!

  • david try adding indian curd it gives it a yummy tang

  • He mentioned you can, yes johnonumnum!

  • Could you use breast chicken instead of thigh, because i dont really like thigh

  • I just have a question, but sorry it's not related to this vid. I hope you can answer it for me. You see I'm not much of a cook, so I bought the cheat version of Blueberry Muffins where you just have to add water, oil and an egg to the mixture. I only use olive oil, but it says to use 40ml of vegetable oil, so instead of me going out and buying vegetable oil, can I substitute it with 40ml of melted butter instead? Would that work OK or should I just buy vegetable oil? Thanks! :-)

  • @1AussieInJapan Yes, you can use melted butter instead :)

  • @OnePotChefShow Thank you so much for replying! I know you probably thought it was a stupid question, but I didn't know who else to ask. Thank you again! :-)

  • Why did the tomato soup look pink?

  • @YourMusic100 Either the lighting, or you need to adjust your monitor ;)

  • When you made the "uh uh" sound 3:21, i know there will be a "yum" right after so i said "Yum" and guess what? xD

  • Looks good, but you should add some dried fenugreek leaves to this...to me, that's one of the key ingredients! Thanks for all the videos.

  • this looks amazinggg!

  • this ur curry not butter chiken

  • What a great idea! I always buy tomato soup and never eat it .. now I know what to do with it! Looks delicious :)

  • Looks like a more economical option to the pre bottled sauces designed for homed preparation. Well done Dave looks gr8 4 camping 2. Thanx

  • also put in cut boiled potatoes

  • i love making butter chicken, but i always use the $4 ready to use butter chicken sauce that you can find at Coles. but i think i'm gonna try this one

  • Hey David...If I cannot found Tomato soup at shop, Do you have other option?

  • @Noi610 You can use 2 tablespoons of Tomato Paste and add a can of Coconut Cream ;)

  • though i'm a vegetarian, i can substitute the chicken with mock duck/chicken.

its gluten and tastes & looks like chicken.

  • Love your videos!!

  • YOu're so awesome!!

  • This is basically chicken tikka masala

  • @MRdrummerkid12541 Yes, Butter Chicken and Tikka Masala are different names for the same dish (more or less!) :)

  • Just thinking this will be great as a Pie, need to make it thicker with E -1422 for pies but if now it will be running down your shirt.

  • Comment removed

  • I have been trying your recipes for the past few weeks, I enjoy them but they are not the taste for my Japanese family and friends, so I have to re-invent them to suit the Japanese taste. ... All my pie recipes I use in my shop had to be changed for Aussies to Japanese, everyone thing needs for example Soy Sauce and Ajinomoto for starters. ... It is a headache running a food company.

  • I'd add some garam masala at the end, simply because I've always got it laying around.

Looks like a great recipe though - thanks!

  • you need a new pot for your cooking

  • @TheGoodgirlgoesbad I'm borrowing my father's kitchen while my new kitchen is being installed ;)

  • @TheGoodgirlgoesbad theres nothing wrong with his pt ...that pot he is using is a good solid pan it will last for years

  • @TheGoodgirlgoesbad

Why replace something that isnt broken? :)

  • @TheGoodgirlgoesbad No way!! that y his username in onepotchef :D

  • Yum! But not my idea of butter chicken :-)

  • I would never have thought of making a butter chicken using tomato soup...i'll definitely be trying this one!!!!

  • looks really good! do you think it would be ok with turkey bc i just baked a large turkey for my family and am looking at a creative way to 'recycle' the left overs? :)

  • @ebaymamaqueen Absolutely! Turkey would be perfect for this dish ;)

  • Im in the middle of making my menu out for this coming week and had a curry chicken on it, I'm going to make this instead, easyer..Ty!

  • That pot looks like it could be 50 years old, which is no bad thing, made to last obviously.

  • @Cytacon That's one of my Mother's old pots. It's well over 50 years old and still better than any "new" pots I've bought :)

  • that looks so yummy! one question though, can i add some peas or even green beans?

  • @chickandcute Absolutely - you can add any vegetables you wish. Try peas and a can of chickpeas (drained and rinsed) ;)

  • I prefer chicken thighs too! Breasts can get fibrous-y, ergh.

  • coconut cream sounds good with this, If I leave the tomato sauce out, I love the taste of curry powder with coconut cream!..I make a butternut squash recipe with curry powder, evaperated milk, and sweetened coconut milk, and curry powder. I'm just not sure if I like tomato sauce with coconut cream.

  • Absolutely Brilliant, like it! Keep it up.

  • Wow what brilliant recipe, regards Avoir

  • what could i use instead of sour cream?

  • @starfrempz You could use coconut cream, natural yoghurt or pouring cream ;)

  • @starfrempz thick cream. stir it in real quick,

  • @starfrempz coconut milk and tomato paste- gives you a more authentic taste as well

  • @starfrempz yogurt is what i use, its the exact same thing. Trust me I make yogurt and sour cream, the only difference is sour cream is drained more. :)

  • I think since it already has butter so additional fat can be ignored. I know it gives that strong feeling to the chicken, I usually put some pilled potatos with fresh tomato paste then starch of pomato and freshness of tomatos makes the same effect.

  • Looks so good. Can't wait to try it

  • you should show how to make macarons :)

  • fucking awesome video!

  • That looks yummy! What kind or Curry Powder did you use?

  • @n2jmb I used "Keen's Curry Powder" but any brand of mild curry powder will be fine ;)

  • @OnePotChefShow no salt or black pepper??

  • @tarek1982 Feel free to add pepper if you wish, but I find there is enough salt in the stock cube, so no extra salt is needed ;)

  • Great video , looks good = ), Have a lovely day. God Blesss

  • this has nothing to do with this recipe but I really wanted to ask how many ml a measuring cup for dry ingredients is because I recently broke my scale and now I have to measure dry ingredients in cups

  • @pegasus1254 There is a link on my channel page to a Measurement Conversion Chart that will help you out ;)

  • @OnePotChefShow thank you so much, never actually thought you'd reply and btw, I looooove your simple recipes.

  • Nice job man!

  • This is my favorite meal of all time!

  • hmmmmm

  • yummy,more cream for me please,thanks 4 sharing :)

  • Yes, that sir, is definitely a damn good Meal, done in a jiffy.

I like the way you do things :)

Don't let them bother you, just do what you want to do.

By the way... Remember your Sesame Prawn Toast?

I did it on a Party and everyone loved it. They were literally addicted to it.

  • @Vorkhan I'm glad the Prawn Toast was a hit - thanks for watching :)

  • @OnePotChefShow i watched your beef stragnoff vid and noticed in that one you used tomato paste. this time around i wanted to use something different then tomato (even thugh its good) 8 ). i was wondering if alferado would be a good substitute? especially with curry.

  • YUM-O!

  • HI!

  • u make me hungryyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy :'( ima gonna try this out btw

  • looks tasty and i like the way you make some of your recipes with easier ingredients very good

  • Looks yummy. Something I've noticed, every time you say "fillets," you say "fill it." Here in the states we say fillet like "fillay." Just something I noticed. lol.

  • Yum! And it was also a one pot meal :)

  • you really really can't do that!

  • So perhaps this would be a good one for someone like me who isn't big on LOTS of curry. Interesting.

  • @OnePotChefShow what kind of tomato soup are you using, brand that is...

  • @StephanieMorelli Any brand will do, I just used a generic "own brand" from Coles ;)

  • How hilarious, I was just eating butter chicken a minute ago. Right before I watched this! ;)

  • looks nice mate

  • Yet another great recipe from the one pot chef

  • Thank you!!! This is perfect! Can't wait to give it a go

  • What do u do with the food after rexording u cook big amount every time , do u have a romemate or somebody to share with ;) ??

  • I love this dish

  • i want to try this recipe but i just want to ask is there anything that i can substitute for tomato soup?

  • @yoshidancer You can use a can of Coconut Cream and 2 Tablespoons of Tomato Paste ;)

  • @OnePotChefShow thank you for the reply :) keep up the good work and im looking forward to your new recipes :)

  • @OnePotChefShow - Could I throw in some peppers and maybe some chopped mushrooms along with the onions if I wanted to?

  • @851852093114208513 Absolutely, sounds good :)

  • @yoshidancer tin of baked beans or tin of shopped tomatos maybe

  • not to be a negative nazi but this isnt even close to butter chicken... its a bit like making a lasagne without the pasta sheets an still trying to call it a lasagne, really its just bolonase sauce with cheese. Next time try using coconut cream and tins of tomatoes rather than the soup. I'm sure this curried chicken tomato soup tasted good tho.

  • @endstatus This is a "pantry" version that is designed to be made with a minimum of ingredients. Give it a go and judge for yourself :)

  • @OnePotChefShow you tell 'em chef :)

  • Looks absolutely scrumptious! I am definately gonna try this out :)

  • excellent ! think i'll try this today :) quick and easy, just hope i got some tomato soup.

  • chicken in soup.

  • Looks yummy. I love chicken.

  • why dont you show us that you taste it

  • @Darline211 I don't think it's that important to "see" me tasting the food. I think the description of the taste and the image of the completed dish is better. After all, the food is the star of the show, not me ;)

  • now you remember to eat the rice to! xD!!!!

  • @anders19287 I will ;)

  • I know Rob & Jess from Nickos channel have mentioned u many times in vids and seem to be good friends with u. Without betraying there confidence or doing anything that would upset them...would u be able to let us know anything about how he is doing and how jess and emmy r holding up. Thanks if u can.

  • @natelovesmandy I haven't spoken to them in a few days, but last I heard Rob is doing well, on the road to recovery and should hopefully be back in action in a few weeks. Hopefully all should be back to normal soon :)

  • A question, and I don't mean to be offensive. Why does anything I cook with curry stink? Should I try getting another brand of curry? I'm not saying it stinks a little, it's like I can't put it anywhere near me mouth or I'd throw up.

  • @JoesPlaying Either you are using a poor quality curry, or you just don't like it. Try another brand and see if you have the same issue ;)

  • @OnePotChefShow I'll try that. Unfortunately in Italy they don't like to eat other countries' food that much. So it's going to be hard to find something different. Thanks anyway David.

  • Looks really nice (:

  • 1stt!!! mmm lloooks sooo good!

  • Any recipe that starts with the word butter has to taste good.

  • om nom nom nom!

  • CHICKEN!!!

  • looks fab!
