My step sister was 11 years old when her face was mauled beyond repair by a neighbor's pit bull. She was playing in her yard, on a hammock with her friend, they were wrapping themselves in it and swinging back & forth. The pit evidently had lost it's mind that evening and dug under it's fence until it's paws were evidently bleeding cause it wanted out so bad.
It attacked her while she was in the hammock. She's had five plastic surgeries.....

Beautiful. This breed is really misunderstood. We have a rescued pitty, and a 5 year old son, as well as daycare here in my home. And my dog is their best friend. And he is my HERO!
