@SoundsLikeAlexRae It doesn't directly support the artist, but I feel that the more people know about a song and share it, they make the artist more in demand. Right now, DJs make good money by getting booked for shows but not through track sales. Track sales are mostly used to show how popular an artist is. So yes, please buy music if you can, but if not I don't think sharing the song is hurting the artist more than it already is.

How do you change the pitch so it has decimal . exemple : 127,1 - 127,2 -127,3

Mine went a lot farther . exemple : 130.5 to 132.24 .. so I am kind confused and I use a lot of time my sync button and not beatmatching it myself. I use an hercule remix console with VDJ

You mean an accapella? Or just a song. Either way, you just change the tempo with the tempo slider. You can also just simple change the key of the song in the new Virtual DJ 6 without changing tempo.

Well I've DJed on it for over 2 years so I think it is. However I also used a lot more keyboard style DJing than mouse with this program. I programmed it so the up and down arrows where the pitch slider. I changed it so the left and right buttons where my "Fast forward / Back Track" buttons. I had pg up and pg down as my crossfader (each press moved it a tiny bit and holding the button did a fast fade). P was play, and that's about all I can think of :P. If you got any questions, go right ahead.

umm but if you have spekaer jack in the front fo your PC and in the back you can connect the speaker to the back and the headphones to the front jack :) but you need a skin wich has the "phones" and the " mixer" controller then it can be done someway :D

If you don't like techno, that's cool, but I honestly love it more than all other music out there because it speaks to me more than any other genre of music. And believe me, I've sampled a little of everything.

Personally I enjoy music that puts 100% emotion and soul into something I can dance to. And this is it. So it works best for me.

WHAT ABOUT DRUM AND BASS, HIP-HOP or BREAKBEAT????????? It doesn't accurately count the BPM! This program has a serious bug!

No. It does read the bpm correctly most of the time. Sometimes however instead of the real BPM it'll do half of it instead but it's still accurate 99% of the time. Besides, you should learn to beatmatch without the sync button. All professional djs don't need bpm counters at all.

Apologies again... I accidentally deleted another comment :(. Someone asked how do you beatmatch without the sync button. One way is to slide the tempo slider until it's beatmatched. And to do this accurately you need to set the range to + or - 10% at max. But that's still relying on the BPM counter. In truth, unless you have headphones that can channel the song on the other deck, you have to use the sync button. If you do have headphones, then you can beatmatch like you had real equipment.

The purpose of this video was the show the main idea behind DJing. I was discussion anything intermediate. I did however plan on making more advanced videos, bu with a broken camcord I'm stuck.

Also, bear in mind a few things. Originality does count, but it doesn't count the most. The more important factors, are knowing your audience, and having crowd control. Plus, it's important to have song selections that separate you from other DJs and is NOT mainstream most of the time. One of the most important facts is being able to make a solid mix and not one that's loosely put together. These are basic club rules. But when it comes to underground rave, you have a lot more room to go with.

Damnit, I hate how close the reply/remove buttons are. Marcstylzzz posted a comment on not wanting to use external hardware. You *can* preview the songs the only problem is that through my method, you will end up having mono sound. What you can do is split the sound so one channel is the set to be the preview channel and the other be the monitors. It's tricky cost a few bucks (cables), and not the best quality, but you can do it that way.

Thanks you really helped me out! I now understand that the Sync buttom doesn't only compares the BPM from both songs but also places the beats at the same line while they are playing (when not playing it's not useful cause the beat line changes again) so what I usally do now is fade 1 deck out, loop it before the "good" part I am going to use, sync it there. When there is a good moment to switch, turn of the loop, fade it in and there it goes :D.

It's 1-2-3-4, and repeats while accenting the one. So you would say it like. ONE, two, three, four, ONE. If you wanted to, you could go 1-2-3-4-5!-2-3-4-5!. Either way almost all EDM songs have a time signature of 4/4.
