the seventies was and still is the best decade to ever have grown up in! no other time in history will ever compare and thats why a lot of people are in the closet about how important this time period was despite the drugs and other problems that got worse past the eighties, i still agree that the seventies is and was too important to forget and everyday i live it and i wear it and i watch it on t.v.. I grew up in that era and i still wear the clothes then , but im a petite enough to still do it
Those were the days... when the original "Big Three" carried NFL games... AFC games on NBC, NFC games on CBS, and, of course, Monday Night Football on ABC...
Savings and Loan... Boy it'd paid to be a fortune teller back in the day. Savings and Loan crashed and burned in the 80s.... Self Service Gas, Ha, that was funny as well. And then the Airlines. Well for that nothing has changed really? Oh wait, now you have TSA raping you before you get on a plane.

I didn't realize Samantha Eggar was famous enough in the US to headline commercials.
I like the ABC sports logos of this era.
Who is doing the voiceover in the shower massage commercial?
That Grenada ad is great.

@80sCommercialVault I'd think probably Betamax. VHS didn't come to the United States until October 1977.

Ahh, I miss Monday Night Football on ABC!! It was such an EVENT! The new MNF on ESPN just isn't the same.

Oh God, my parents had a forest green Thunderbird just like that when I was a kid. LOL at them describing it as "slimmer".

It's difficult to tell for sure but that looks like Rick Hurst ("Cletus Hogg") as the gas station attendant in the Exxon self serve commercial.

Ah, that United Airlines passenger makes the whole airplane experience seem so easy-breezy. What happened? ......Oh yeah, that's right.
Do people still use chewing tobacco? The last person I knew who used that stuff was my grandpa. That stuff is gross.

Funny, I see the intro to MNF, Oakland playing, almost 35 years to the day, Today I just saw the Miami Dolphins play and whip Oakland.

That is the late Danny Dark v/o the Ford Thunderbird Commercial and the late Ernie Anderson v/o the RCA Colortrak Ad.
