I was lucky enough to see Billy Liar on the London stage with Elaine Paige and Michael Crawford in the 1970's. Being a great fan of John Barry's film music, I snapped up a copy of the cast album and played this particular song to death.

great to see Elaine doing both parts on here, shame theres not more from the show, you can now get a re release of the shows cast album on CD.....i was a great show my parents took me first musical except for panto that i went to and i was hooked!

I had the pleasure of seeing "Billy" in London, and buying the CD before it became next to impossible to find. Still one of my all time favorite shows.

I adore Elaine Paige, not only a marvelous voice and beautiful as well, but from her interviews and manner in general, a beautiful person. I never saw "Billy" not sure it came to the New York , where I used to live, but loved the Elaine's duel performance. Thank you for having on your web site. I"m a recent convert to the Elaine Paige fan club,which she so richley deserves.

Thank you for posting this. I saw "Billy" with Michael Crawford and Elaine Paige on stage in London many moons ago and I thought it was fabulous......I've always remembered this song. I still listen to her on BBC2 on Sundays.

A lovely lady. I am a flight attendant for Air New Zealand and I just brought her from LA to Auckland. She was charming and friendly and totally normal. Class act!
