I've never heard anyone complain about working too hard or not sleeping or eating enough... It was our horrible leadership that made us all sick of it. I often wonder how different it would have been had I gone into the legion instead.

@salutfiu I think the system of having officer's is outdated and needs to be done away with. Going to college or coming from a family who knows all the right people does not make you batter qualified to lead troops in combat.

@ASSIEBLOKE Oh and (BE HONEST FIRM AND HUMBLE) read the Legion code of Honor (LIVE BY IT) just like there motto HONOR AND FIDELITY treat every recruit up there with 100% respect BUT your in a competition none the less at that very moment because they only take so many per batch of recruits. So make sure you score the highest you can on the mental,physical, health and Physiological exams if you want in the 2REP. The Interview at the end is EVERYTHING need more insight message me.

You fight for the guy next to you who would step in front of a bullet for you without thinking twice about it. I think a "Russian" Legionnaire would go to combat against anyone with his brothers, just as a Russian Marine (I knew 3 personally) would.
@TS0G0 the FFL aren't spécial forces, they are an elite force. Special forces are light infantry specialized for infiltration, etc. A Elite Force is Heavy infantry. And the FFL are the best elite force arround the world

Battle of Belleau Wood gave us our name. Island hopping and Battle of Iwo Jima stopped you from speakin Japanese and German. Inchon an Chosin Reservoir stopped communism from conquering the free world. Grenada, Panama, Desert Storm ,Iraq and Afganistan. Stopped Tyrants and War crimnals forcing regiem change an restoring peace.

There is a impressive battle in FFL history called Battle of Camarón. There were 65 legionnaires attacked by force of 2000 men (infantry and cavalry). They held up, inflicted immense casualties and when out of ammo, remaining last 5 heavily wounded legionnaires charged with bayonets.
History has just few such displays of bravery in battle and FFL is one of them.

@Killhodge OK There is Differences in Marine and Legion Deaths In there Basic trainings When Marines Die 90% of it is Accidental Deaths Such as equipment failure such as weapons or Explosive failure Preexisting conditions that meps didn't catch also Over heating and lack of Hydration things along those lines. The legion is pretty much well if they live there good enough to be Legionnaires the land its self can kill you diseases during green hell can kill you that men haven't even named yet.

Hey guys, i'm from portugal, i served in a military school two years ago, there was this HUGE MUSCLED first sargent which btw way was a fine person, very educated, allways nice to all students and soldiers. Later i discovered that he had served in the FFL, and believe when i say if he decides to wear his FFL uniform, even the most prestiged generals would have to salute him...but his just a humble guy, and that my friends is remarkable
Got to work with these guys and the Belgium paratroopers in the mid 70"s "Zaire" and again with the FFL during the first Gulf War....real men, real heroes, stone cold warriors....the best! Am pushing 52 years old now and if I had it to do all over would have joined FFL after my first enlistment with USAF.
A few pointers: You don't have to be fluent in Fr - but it'll help - you'll learn quickly enough when you join. Calvi in Corse is purgatory (training). Not everyone qualifies - there are a lot that fail, especially 2ème Régiment Étranger de Parachutistes, 2ème REP. There is no comparison with other nations' Special Forces - Legionnaires have an entirely different mindset. Oh - and there are many Fr in the Legion. Personal mail is censored. I have yet to read a sensible post here.

Ive heard if your american and you joined the FFL and came back to the states after your term of service, you can be thrown in jail for serving another countries military force. Wich is fucked up because i preferr the FFL training over The us Army's training and the marine corps. I heard people have died in the FFL basic training. Now boys n girls if you wanna be a stone cold killer with no fear, join the FFL.
@gimbob38 They wouldn't have to know, but being off the charts for several years might spike something.. also in the FFL you're given fake identity/passports and everything, so nothing will be able to be traced back to you. But your contract is set in stone, and if you try to leave after you sign your contract you won't live to serve another country.. haha, I had a friend that was in the FFL that I went to basic with.

@Killhodge OK There is Differences in Marine and Legion Deaths In there Basic trainings When Marines Die 90% of it is Accidental Deaths Such as equipment failure such as weapons or Explosive failure Preexisting conditions that meps didn't catch also Over heating and lack of Hydration things along those lines. The legion is pretty much well if they live there good enough to be Legionnaires the land its self can kill you diseases during green hell can kill you that men haven't even named yet.

Hey guys, i'm from portugal, i served in a military school two years ago, there was this HUGE MUSCLED first sargent which btw way was a fine person, very educated, allways nice to all students and soldiers. Later i discovered that he had served in the FFL, and believe when i say if he decides to wear his FFL uniform, even the most prestiged generals would have to salute him...but his just a humble guy, and that my friends is remarkable

Got to work with these guys and the Belgium paratroopers in the mid 70"s "Zaire" and again with the FFL during the first Gulf War....real men, real heroes, stone cold warriors....the best! Am pushing 52 years old now and if I had it to do all over would have joined FFL after my first enlistment with USAF.

A few pointers: You don't have to be fluent in Fr - but it'll help - you'll learn quickly enough when you join. Calvi in Corse is purgatory (training). Not everyone qualifies - there are a lot that fail, especially 2ème Régiment Étranger de Parachutistes, 2ème REP. There is no comparison with other nations' Special Forces - Legionnaires have an entirely different mindset. Oh - and there are many Fr in the Legion. Personal mail is censored. I have yet to read a sensible post here.

Ive heard if your american and you joined the FFL and came back to the states after your term of service, you can be thrown in jail for serving another countries military force. Wich is fucked up because i preferr the FFL training over The us Army's training and the marine corps. I heard people have died in the FFL basic training. Now boys n girls if you wanna be a stone cold killer with no fear, join the FFL.

@gimbob38 They wouldn't have to know, but being off the charts for several years might spike something.. also in the FFL you're given fake identity/passports and everything, so nothing will be able to be traced back to you. But your contract is set in stone, and if you try to leave after you sign your contract you won't live to serve another country.. haha, I had a friend that was in the FFL that I went to basic with.
