They write all of their own music - they aren't actually a cover band. Hizaki and Teru (the guitarists) worked in this project along with Jasmine You (bassist) and they went on to form Versailles with Yuki on drums and Kamijo on vocals. Sadly, Jasmine You passed away August 2009 and later Masashi joined the band as the new bassist.

Yargh. You must not be THAT familiar with Malice then... If you think HIZAKI grace project sounds similar to Malice Mizer at all, you need to review both groups, and then check your hearing. =/

Malice Mizer (for the most part) was kind of a J-pop / Vk group, until the Klaha era, where they went almost entirely goth... Hgp is more of a Neo-classical / Power metal kind of style... Almost no similarities at all, aside from the synthesized instruments.
