THE best Simon & Garfunkel song EVER! Yeah, I love Mrs. Robinson and Sounds of Silence. But this is IT! One of the greatest masterpieces of all time! 5:10 of pure joy!
I had just played a short cut of this song in a local guitar shop and people stoped and began to listen to this. This was a nice experience to me because nobody knows you in a big city, I was all by myself, I had to fight myself trough these hard times like a ' Boxer ' without a job, without family, without a friend or girlfriend. BTW I can remember myself of this guitar I played at this moment, a beautiful Yamaha LLX 16 guitar.
since I was a child..they have helped me through long nights...and once again they do ....thank you for posting these. While I have the DVD...this was wonderful to see.
I remember it on its first release way back, when I was about 9, when I puzzled over the kindly 'horse' on Seventh Avenue. Perhaps it gave the boxer a free ride in its carriage in the park to cheer him up.
Just left me so speechless. Can't think of the best adjective to describe this song and the artists -- awesome, marvelous, tremendous, fantastic, remarkable.. what else, what else???
