Brilliant ! What a great interview Ian Hunter so underrated by the music establishment always was in Mott and as a solo artist. A great songwriter, great performer .... thanks for all the great songs and for providing so many happy times ... I was there at the beginning with Mott and Queen ... I will be there at the end!
Ian's greatness is that he never pretended to be anything than but what he was: a Rock 'n' Roll worker earning a better living than he would in the factory back home.
"Ronson was in top form on the first album" he says. Ah yes, you could say that. Just listen to "The Truth, the whole Truth and Nothin' but the Truth" for evidence.
Yuo Iorta: "it's alright" Ian says laconically. Ian, just alright? It's a killer mate!
But this is just an all-too-rare insight into the genius that is Ian Hunter and thanks for posting it.
A true rock legend. God bless you Ian.

Ian's one of my favorites. And Ronson's tone and style was so unique you knew it was him after a few notes...

Ian's "All The Way From Memphis" is one of the greatest rock 'n roll songs ever written. Mott and Ian are seriously under-rated.
