I was a part of the choir and before the show they told us to try our hardest NOT to laugh, solely because it would add to the comedic effect for him to say something funny but the choir was not laughing. On top of that, it would be a huge distraction and no one would pay attention to Colbert if we were laughing. Think, people. I know it's hard but you can do it.
