This is the third song I've listened to by Blackmore's Night, and I now want to go on an RPG style magical quest with the guys from Slade. Anyone want in?
You know, If I keep listening to blackmore's night songs, I am going to be on the computer all day searching everyone and making it on my favorites list!
Love this song...mostly because of the beautiful tune.
But also because I'm reading Andrew Hussie's Homestuck (again) and this sounds suspiciously like the way Rose is drawn toward the gods of the Furthest Ring.
The true essence of Beauty....I didn't like their new album at first hearing when I first heard the samples of the new songs but now I am in love with all of them..especially this one....Candice..thank you for always putting my exact thoughts, feelings and long-gone memories into words. Unreal experience...
Few bands can create such vivid pictures in the mind with their music but Blackmore's Night does it in spades If you know what I mean by that.
Ticks me off that in order to see them I have to go to Europe, I saw Deep Purple in Vancouver BC, why can't they come to Canada! Damn. gonna cost me a small fortune but worth it I think.
Well, I'm officially sold; I am going to get this CD in the future. Songs like this are so hauntingly beautiful, I feel a pleasant chill run down my spine when I listen to it
Thanks for the upload. It's a lot better than i first thought when the track samples popped up a couple of weeks ago.Very relieved that there is a distinct rennaisance feel on a lot of the songs and hearing some of the songs in their entirety my opinion has changed somewhat. That being said Journeyman and celluloid heroes are still extremely dissapointing the former being way too poppy sounding and for me is the worst track they have ever produced.Overall however it's a very good album.
@jonybeam I think that they could use another drums... The "pop drums" are that thing, which isn't in their style... I agree with you ;) The first listening to the short parts of the songs some week ago was sad. I think they used bad drums in some songs... but I have to say the album is really great :)
@adiabatka You make a good point about the drums. I have noticed that in a few of the songs. It's a bit surprising too because I have seen them in concert and can say from experience that their drummer is incredibly talented. It's a bit of a shame that their style of music prevents him from being more innovative with the drums during their songs. I wouldn't mind if they actually let him break into a drum solo in one of the future albums because I was very impressed when he did so on stage.
@andysengines Thanks :) In their music I can imagine more medieval drums... like in Corvus Corax for example. I know they play different style of music, but the medieval drums would be better in it. It could sound very good, I think. But still it is wonderful album :)
DIS SONG IS BARE SHIT BRUV!

I ran away on a day resembling what this song describes. And I was a bit crazy, and the darkness soothed my mind.

For me, this is one of the more darker songs on the album. It just puts a picture my head! I love it!
