It's easier to play tdm when you're 1 v 6. You don't have to worry about tard ass team mates giving the other team killstreaks. People get bored and frustrated with only one target and they play too agressive and do dumb things. The other team almost never gets killstreaks because for example for a chopper gunner someone has to kill you 11 times in a row. To do that he has to play hyper agressive to beat his other 5 teammates to you and agressive players are easier targets.
