il problema dell'italiano e' l'essere una lingua troppo retorica... l'inglese e' conciso e mira al dunque. Per materie tecniche come l'economia o le scienze l'inglese e per me decisamente piu efficace. La politica e' una materia a se... non so esprimere un giudizio onestamente.

In lingua italiana esiste senz'altro una grande tradizione di retorica, ma una lingua in sé non è né retorica né diretta, tutto dipende dall'uso che se ne fa, e dai modelli di discorso, scritto o orale, che si prendono a riferimento. L'inglese di Shakespeare prendeva a modello la sintassi latina e non era "diretto", in italiano si doppiano i film americani senza alcuna forzatura.
