I don't know if I'll ever live to see man and women walking on Mars. I'm 60 years old now, and because of the political situation here in the USA, I'm not very optimistic about my country's future. Of course, a lot can happen in 20 years, but a lot can also not happen. Too bad Carl Sagan is not with us anymore. Back in the 1980s he was my inspiration, my hero. But most Americans only look up to their so-called sports heroes who are actually lousy role models for young people to day.
@happysplodie - Well, most of my relatives lived into their 80s even though they were very fat. So, barring any serious illness or accident I stand a pretty good chance of living into my mid to late 80s. I'm in fairly good health aside from the arthritis in my knees and ankles. Also taking pain medications for arthritis thins down the blood thereby lowering the risk of blood clots which almost guarantees a long miserable life. Ha! Ha! But I'm still not optimistic about the future.
The title music is "Heaven and Hell, Part 1" by Vangelis (also known for the "Chariots of Fire" movie theme). The rest is snippets of classical music. Several compilation albums have been released. FMI: search wikipedia.
Carl would be HORRIFIED if he saw the US military budget since 2001.

I absolutely love this guy. Carl Sagan is one of the few that deserves to live forever.
