This is so funny cause I feel hell of old. LOL I was the drill team commander in 1990 and 1991. FIrst place in 90'. And in 91' we lost because one of our team mates dropped a rifle. :-/

You guys were tight.! But all our moves no one remembers anymore. :-( I still remember them all.

Not to hate but I was on the SHS Drill Team W/Arms 1985-1987. I we were monsters on the drill deck shot out to Morgan, Shaboo, James and Gary all were Drill Team Cmdrs. Also a shot out to our ladies WO/Arms Pam Dixon and Cheri Jones.

Yeah, all those quick pace comes from the adrenaline we get from the performances. You know, nervous/scared. I know I was, it was my first competition.

This is a style that somewhat escapes me. I see it a lot in high school teams. It is this super fast paced slapping rifles, and tapping them on the floor. There is already a tendency to rush a routine. This quick-step style makes it very difficult to keep things in cadence. In addition, this style, unlike the Southwestern style of drill does not emphasize "power." Having said all of this, I can tell how hard you all worked. It was nice to watch.

Bravo Zulu (Good job in Navy) cadets. Looked sharp from my comp. A few small screw ups but that's all a part of life. You guys put a lot of practice into that performance and it showed. regarding earlier posts, exhibition is basically free for all in an organized fashion. when done right it comes out like above..

I'm speaking on behalf of the 08 Drill Team. You may have higher standards towards your Drill Team, but if you know what was going on with the JROTC last year, than you would know how much efforts we gave in order to get a win. Try our JROTC shoes, and rifle than maybe you would understand. Just saying.

see in my school, if one of my guys on my drill team drop a rifle, they have to lie down on the ground with it until we start marching or he gets in the way because he doesn't deserve to be standing when the rifle hits the ground

its pretty good im on my schools drill team here in Oklahoma ( whoo Southeast sorry) and i must say that its pretty good my only complaint is that some times the Platoon leader calls commands if you made it a silent drill team i would get more goose bumps but other then that its great. Go team.

Yes the Class A uniform has proven to us that it pretty much limits our efficiency of our performance, so we just decided to go with Class B everytime we perform. :D
