if you make a video record on the windows XP version, on to MSN messenger, is the sound and movemnt quality good or bad? And would you recommend it to a student going into college??

for Xp yes, for linux, no, and id reccomend the 901 series, it has better battery life by a couple of hours, a dula core processor and N network capability, not to mentin double the storage.... :D

as for recording,. it the quality is good but the audio and Video do not seem to sync together :s

you mentioned there is 12gb and 20gb. but i found a 16gb with xp operating system. would you say this is good?

yes, its 20Gb in total, with the linux version, 4 Gb is a dedicated hard drive for your OS which loads faster than the other 16GB that you have on this machine.

Its a bit odd ot have a 16GB version, where does it say that? they usually come in 12,20 and now 40gb...

yeah is preally good, no worriwes there :) works like a dream! onyl trouble is recording vedio seems accellerated. if you record a 20 second video on many programs yull hear the sounds for 20 seconds, and the first two seconds will be 20 seconds of footage sped up :s
