Thank you to whomever posted this video. I wish i could thank all those who have helped expose me to new music via youtube. Van is the Man. I'm 22 and I've always liked different music than my peers. I played this song at a party the other day and people loved it. I love getting to share older music with my friends and peers, particularly van, so thank you vanthemanxx. Van got it right when he said, "I just want to hear some rythem and blues music on the radio."
@kwallac13 I'm also 22 and most people my age think this music is bad. One night at work we were talking about music and the other kid, who is 17, asked if Van and Simon and Garfunkel were from the '30s. I kinda lost hope at that point.

@MrRonnieG ah man, you're so welcome. comments like yours are what I look for. Posts on classic rock videos are the best, Van Morrison in particular.. I think its just because of how he makes you feel. I know for me, he (and others) make me feel free. Its why he made you drive your car so fast and its why if you're listening to him while you're driving through thunderstorm, you'd swear your were driving a convertible down the pacific coast highway in july. Just freedom, ya know?
I came home from Vietnam in November of 1970, got myself an orange & black 1970 Plymouth Roadrunner with a pistol-grip 4-speed and an 8 track in the dash! Domino was released somewhere around that time and I'm not bullshiting ~ when Van's tape was playing, loud & clear, I would drive that freakin' car as fast as was physically possible!!! I raced a 911L Porsche on the Long Beach Freeway, in June '71, and it was absolutely epic! I thought that 383/335 motor was going to come apart!.
@MrRonnieG Van has been in my musical top 5 since I really discovered his music in college. I had my thirtieth birthday a few months back and someone was telling me that I was born into the wrong generation. MrRonnieG, your story proves their point. The moment you described expresses so much life, and I think that's what draws me to things from a few bygone eras. Too much of modern life feels superficial. Thank God we'll always have this kind of music to make us happy.
This is a great example and proof that you do not have to be a conventional vocalist to get a hit song. This song is revenge upon the arrogant crowd of music industry people that judge wrongfully. Smoke all there asses Van ! Show them all the error in there thinking. Brent G

For some reason this song reminds me of walking around at fairs and festivals. Like at anytime the crowd will just bust out with a line dance.
