@supermarioworld9000 knuckles upper cut is capable of taking of his emeralds from him but that doesnt mean he defeated him later on you get to fight knuckles and either super or normal form you defeat him...

@ramisama88 well i guess you may had a point, Well in game they had to make character to balance, or weaken character so that character can defeat this character. No one would give real 100% power of knuckles, sonic, or mario. Because it make game look too easy. Example: Sonic Heroes Jungle level, sonic will not run the water, but some sonic game that sonic can walk water or run.
