  • if you guys eat raw then do you guys have a strict policy on raw meat or you guys are all vegan

  • Hi

Can I use an oven? If yes, at what temperature ? Thanks for the video.

  • @gowmukhi Yes... the lowest temp. Some people keep the door open to get an even lower temp.

  • I don't want to know how big are your electricity bills after using dehydrator. I go raw and just enjoy my sprouts the way they are. BTW I read a research that says that the berries and all kind of seeds when they soak in the water and popping the sprouts they "vivify" it and it becomes to be a structured cluster water that is the same like our body naturally has. I personally think that dehydration is not that bad way if you just start raw, but for good it is just spoiling the natural products.

  • I get it! "Looks like they're ready to BERRY themselves" :D :D haw haw haw

  • Thank you for this recipe! I am gonna buy a sprouter (or two) right now. You're doing a great job!

  • i love the "mMmMmM!" after every bite lol. I'm just curious... that's a LOT of grain in a raw diet for one day. I'm new to raw but as far as nutrition is concerned the majority of your intake should be green right? I'm 175 pounds and just one of those bread sticks would have filled me up for about 6 hours. Although, if i had just made my first raw bread I would have eaten the whole thing in one day :) happy un-baking!

  • dude don't use that wax paper. it hinders the air flow. severly.

  • Mmmm Food Porn....

  • You are adorable and I love your video!!! Hope the vegan thing is working for you, and now I'm off to do your recipe!!

  • DUDE, you rock.....

  • Can you tell me how long did you dehydrate it?It looks so good!! I am going to try it today :-)

  • I am really excited to try this bread. Thank you for teaching me how to do it! I loved the sandwich ideas and the breakfast cashew approach. Cute. My daughter starts school at 7:00 A.M. and this bread is just the thing to send with her and to also serve for an early morning blood sugar food. My husband has diabetes and I am hoping sooooo much that I can learn to do what you are doing. Thank you again.

  • agave nectar and onions are ... TOXICCCC

  • @buttercado

    Can you explain me why?

  • @11Moni22 agave nectar is full of fructose and onions are from the allium family... just google it.

  • it takes a lot of energy, 2 days to make a bread ? its better no to eat at all.

  • This is a nice video ,thank you .Do you know if someone can do it in very slow heat in the oven using the air?I am a vegan and know i am trying raw recipies .

  • I noticed that you used the small dehydrated and wanted to know if you are happy with it because to make this type of bread I need to order one. I have very little space in the house and have to decide whether to buy a small one or the larger dehydrator. thank you for your response.

  • @Abby6786 No... it sucks. Get an Excalibur lol.

  • @thatoneguyonline I have the same dehydrator and I found if I used a mesh you can order online that they use to make cheese it works best, you can use it over and over again and I find the wax paper blocks the air flow on the side that dries the food, and it was really cheap I could do all of my 12 trays for pennies :)

  • Fantastic demonstration. Go for fruit and dark greens in the morning instead, leave things like bread (even sprouted raw vegan) for later. You'll be in radiant health. You're doing a good job! Thanks.

  • YOU RULE! great vid :)

  • Comment removed

  • See you've gone vegan. Thats great.I'll bet you've experience some good changes. One thought. Some restaurants like to put nitrates on their salad fixings so they last longer. Maybe use organic veggies from the store or stand. The bread looks yummy.

  • greetings oneguy,

thank you for the info, my only question is concerning your food processor, did you use a dough blade or just the standard metal one. Thank you and peace to you.

  • it took few days to make 4 pieces of bread? LOL can that be enough?

  • Glad I found this video. I been making sprouted bread since the early 80's and I think I been making it completely wrong. My recipe I got from Essene Gospel of Peace, book 1. I have been sprouting them and putting them in the sun to dry the berries so as to stone grind them and mixing honey and cinnamon with it. I think I read it wrong. The wording goes, to put it in the sun to sprout it not kill it...If it taste as you mentioned I might sell my stone grain grinder. Thanks!

  • I want to get into sprouting and growing some of my own food. I am vegan too but not raw. I like your sprouter contraption. Where did you get it?

  • Will you marry me? lol ...I really want to eat raw but can't cook for the life of me!

  • @PinkBotox LOL

  • @LynnCSRawRawRaw Thanks! Sprouted wheat is easier to digest as gluten isn't as big of an issue. Though, some people with severe gluten intolerance still can't eat it.

  • ok matt, i am making this following your recipe. first my food processor is new but it did not mash up those wheat kernals.. lord that was a pain!.. and second, if it tastes nasty, i am after you man lol

  • one of the greatest videos ever! thanks! lololol. :)

  • subway lol

  • Why exactly would you go raw vegan? The bread looks tough.

  • that looks yummy! but would i be able to do the same thing, but instead of using wheat berries how about brown rice? was the bread soft or hard?

  • that looks yummy! but would i be able to do the same thing, but instead of using wheat berries how about brown rice?

  • Just a sugesstion: put your flax seed in the food processor; the flax will help to bind the bread when broken down rather than adding whole to the dough. this should help your bread not to crumble. You did a great job! I cant wait to try your recipies! ~Blessings L.L.

  • Fun raw treat you could try...mashed organic raspberries/banana/shredded c oconut (GO Organic) or ground organic raw cashews (Navita Naturals) and smashed banana in food processor dehydrate both on about 105-110 for a short time and then you have two types of raw cookies you can take on the go you could add agave/honey but I don't like sugar much...enjoy

  • Loved your video...I agree it's nice to see a guy doing raw/vegan. I have excal. dehydrator it's rocks can't wait for you to get one. I eat 100% organic vegan 90% raw. I ate raw for almost a year it was amazing. I got rid of my asthma I'd had since early teens and blood sugar problems no more. Weird that I got dairy and meat out and my low iron problems got better which is the opposite from what they tell you. Saw Bobs Red Mill Bag I use that and Handy Pantry wheat (huge buckets) stores 15-20 y

  • @Beautifulday4u Great, thanks!

  • this is wonderful! at first because I hardly know about guys eating raw food nor preparing on YouTube/blogs. I've just moved from vegetarian to a vegan diet. I dont know if Im willing to go raw, but I wonder did you buy the sprouter & dehydrator, just so you could go raw? cause that's quite an investment...right? I've seen people with almost professional dehydrators... must cost 1000s dollars... Why would you go through so much trouble instead of buying ready made crackers? just wondering :-)

  • @glorifyyourname Thanks! I bought the sprouter / dehydrator as part of my raw food diet journey. Actually, that sprouter is only like $10 and that dehydrator was only like $50. I want to get an Excalibur dehydrator (the square kind that cost a few hundred). The ready made crackers are dead. Dehydrating below 118 keeps the enzymes alive and makes it easier to digest. Plus, the ready made crackers may have preservatives / additives / whateveratives. Thanks for watching!

  • thank you for sharing, brother you have a positive vibe keep it up!

    namaste

  • ah no don't dump water down the drain, drain in the garden to putting those nutrients in the soil.

  • sounds good was it soft or hard?

  • OMG I died at 6:38

    So cute xD

  • Thank you so much for sharing with us. And check your sprouting container for BPA. Hopefully its safe.

I will be looking for more great videos! :) Great job

  • am returning to high raw diet this tutorial is right up my alley. thanks and excellent job.

  • Haha, you made exactly the same noise after everything you tasted. =P It looked YUM, though. Just found you and subscribed straight away. =)

  • iron your shirt. lol

  • This is lovely

  • Awesome video! Very simple and clear tutorial. And I love the smiley face toast :D

  • Greatvideo,Greatfood, Thanks. LIKE..ED

  • I saw someone below bashing you for putting the "unhealthy " toppings on ur bread. That blew me away. What's with all the food police? Unless you are roasting a baby on barbecue....it's none of my damn business what you eat. You never claimed to be one of the "Raw Gurus".....besides.... cashew butter is healthier than a McGriddle . I applaud your efforts. I also appreciate you taking the time to video the real deal from a newbies point of view. God Bless You and Yours.

  • @FloridaSalon Thanks!

  • Hi, thanks for the info, and you are very cute !

  • Hi, thanks for the info, and you are very cute !

  • Thank you for sharing. I have been doing the green smoothie thing for a while and am wanting to transition to more RAW overall. The internet and videos like yours have really helped in finding things to try out. Congrats on your success and thanks, again, for being kind enough to share with the rest of us.

  • @sharkmeat001 Great! Thanks for watching!

  • What temp. should I use if I don't have a dehydrator? I guess I could do it in a cool oven? like 200 degrees or something like that? Please do tell me. This is surely catching my interest big time. I do a lot of sprouts, but nor this stuff. Make it easy for me...Thanks

  • @aparaajita10 I always dehydrate under 105, but with a stove I would just use the lowest temp and let some air in every now and then.

  • @thatoneguyonline Thanks. I think that even if people don't want to switch over to this way of eating, if every one did it just one day a week, one day in a fortnight, once a month, I don't know, but the impact of hundreds of millions of people doing it would definitely impact the health, the economy, the energy consumption, the environment. & not to talk about adding the variety. & personaly, i love being liberated from the bondage to the stove...yeah to "women's lib"

    Thanks once more

  • can the bread be sun-dried?

  • @aparaajita10 Sure, if it's sunny enough.

  • Dude, your videos kick ass! Simple, imformative, entertaining. Love them! Your down to earth calm energy is pleasant as well. Keep at it.

  • I know the video is old so I hope youve learn to BUY ORGANIC PRODUCE, USE FILTERED WATER (not tap water and bottled tapped water) and NO SALT.

I like the sprouted bread but its like Hi look at my bread is so healthy, lets just put tons of salt and cashew butter plus tons of sugar! This is not healthy!

I know its less unhealthy but Dude, if you were panning to eat like this might as well make a sprouted doughnut. Dont get me wrong, I like your video I just needed to get that out of my chest.

  • 6:35 is it really good? i made exactly the same raw bread, same dehydrator, same time, same seasoning, and it taste awful. No offense. What do you think?

  • I am making this sprouted bread recipes right now. It is in the over on warm with the door opened. I don't own a dehydrator yet. I want to get one. I do have a couple good food processors though. I would really want a dehydrator.

  • You make it look so easy, my dehydrator arrives soon and I can't wait to try your recipe !

  • @tasmanianvegan Great! Good luck!

  • Cool

  • Nice vid, Dude!

  • This is awesome! Thanks for sharing! :)

  • yummy!

  • better grind the flux seeds so you can really get the benefit from its nutrients.

  • i got a dehydrator and sprouting jars, all i need is seeds and wax paper. is that all u ate for breakfast????? tell me u ate more than that are u on a diet?

  • can i bake it somehow instead of a dehydrator???

  • @Mistress4upa just use your oven over night at 200 degrees.

  • Kudos for making it looks so easy....I will def try this out....only thing is now I have even more reason to get a dehydrator

  • I LOVE YOUR VIDS!

  • Thanks! I'm working on a kombucha video right now. I should have it up in about 3 or 4 weeks.

  • Looks freakin amazing! Looks better than "real" bread to me =D Putting this on my must make list for sure.

  • Hi. I love your videos and your down to earth attitude. One of the few raw foodist that isn't trying to sell products, so I like that even more. I'm not raw but I really admire your tenacity about being healthy. This recipe looks sooo good.

  • enjoyed your video.. can't wait to make some.. great job!

  • it's so much simpler than that, i'v been doing this for years. all you gotta do is completely cover the berries with water, soak overnight and then in the morning pour them into a fine meshed colander and rinse then drain and let sit in warm dark area. the colander aerates the berries so they have oxygen to sprout

  • Amazing tutorial dude! But, skip out on the agave nectar... it's extremely high in sugar. I mean, hey if you need the sugar, it's fine... but for those watching their sugars.

  • if you add olive oil to your recipe, it will make all the difference. I created my own recipe too; ours are pretty similar!

  • At what temp did you dehydrate your bread? If it's too high would you lose some nutrtional value? I also thought about using other seeds like radish to add to your dough for a change in flavor. Or maybe onion and horseradish. Have you tried adding anything else to your recipe?

  • Why do you use flaxseeds--to bind the dough? I was thinking that it might be better to grind the flaxseeds first in order to digest them...

  • Dude, sprout your stuff in a glass jar!

  • You should totally feed your plants that water instead of throwing it out. It's full of good stuff & could be used for soup base as well. :)

  • You are über cute. I have to try this. Bread has been the one thing that I've never successfully replicated. But I've never used sprouted berries (I'm pretty awful at sprouting because I forget about them). I also love that you are using a "regular" dehydrator (which I have too). Makes me think I can totally do this. Some raw marinara or even some RAWsome chili would be great with the bread sticks.

  • Thanks! Good luck!

  • The water you poured off is full of nutrients. If you dont want to drink it straight, then put it in the freezer for soups and stews or pour it on your plants.

  • The soak water? According to the Ann Wigmore Institute, you shouldn't drink soak water because it contains enzyme inhibitors.

  • Great video.... I found the sprouter you use on Amazon.com for $10.78. Thank you!

  • Okay I'm going to try this, here we go... *chomp *crunch *cruch MMM!

Okay I'm going to make myself a sandwich, here we go... *chomp *crunch *cruch MMM!

  • wow looks delicious i cant wait to do this

  • Love the video! Curious as to how your raw aspirations are going. Are you still on it? Do you have an Excalibur dehydrator yet? I can't wait to get one.

  • Graet video- clear and concise instructions. I can't wait to do this and try the bread. Thank you for putting this together and sharing it.

  • Your a Legend.. Love it. Thanks for sharing!

  • wow these look really nice and good

  • looks good. might try it myself. thanks.

  • Wow that looks amazing, I can't wait to try making some. What's the texture like? Is it crunchy, soft?

  • Thank you for sharing! : )

  • I just cannot understand how other vegans can survive on so little food, what this guy eats for lunch I need 5 times as much of him to get full, after 2 hours im hungry again.

  • @Inflamsx

Well, they may eat 2 or 3 lunches :). After all, your needs will vary based on how strenuous your work is, how much you exercise, whether you skipped the last meal, etc.

I was also impressed at how little some people eat and how much more I need, but then you look at their lifestyle and they may be very sedentary, or they eat every 3 hours (nothing wrong with that). So if your digestion is problem free, and you simply need more food, there doesn't seem to be room for concern.

  • Hi! Love your videos! I notice the sprouter is plastic. Do you know if it BPA Free??

  • @BarbyCurtis70 Heh, Im going for the jar.

  • Good job! Do a little research about agave nectar though. Not the best food. :-( But as one of my favs (John Kohler of DiscountJuicersdotcom) says, "Good, better, best." Sometimes it's all about working UP to the BEST. ;-) Another favorite of mine from him is "Freshest is bestest!" LOL

  • I tried this recipe but the bread came out kind of sour tasting. The dough tasted nice before I put it in the dehydrator and came out sour tasting. Any idea why that might be? Is it supposed to taste like that?

  • ur adorable make me smile : ) . U just helped me solve to problems i had.. do u know if subway's avocado is raw vegan? U have a lot of good ideas : ) i can't wait to try to make this bread : )

  • How caloric is all that bread made into a sandwich?

  • @IAMSHEable Raw diets pretty much = a much lower calorie intake, so I don't think you have to worry =)

  • that sprouter looks awesome. I got one from whole foods but it's huge. I would like a smaller one like that, where did you get yours?

  • @somedayshero if u haven't found the sprouter yet, someday, u can get them from Amazondotcom 4 $11.90. Search 4 Easy Sprout Sprouter. U get free shipping if u buy other super saver items totalling $25. Get a couple so u will always have a supply of sprouts cuz u can store in the container really well, too. HTH :-)

  • what is the calorie count for these?

  • wow im so going to try this.

  • I just got my excaliber last week and been trying to decide what to "break it in " with - am gonna try your "recipe" and see how it goes !! Wheat berries are soaking !!! Love your vids by the way !! keep it up !!! My son (he's 17) and I are just starting to add more raw to our diet - more of an intermediate diet (we aren't vegetarian ) but trying to cut out as much processed food as we can to start with...

  • Great! Good luck.

  • At 7:02 the smiley toast looks like it is crying. Great tutorial, and that actually looks really good. I tried cashew butter and it is delicious. I still hate peanut butter.

  • LOL

  • 3 days!!! Damn, somebody really wanted sprout bread! Where do you even find cashew butter? I would totally wanna try it because these are the kind of carbs people are supposed to have but Im to lazy to make bread for 3 days, can you buy it anywhere?

  • @LaughingOTI80 whole foods, trader joes, or best yet, make it yourself. Just take cashews and blend them until creamy (you can add coconut oil or olive oil, to help cream, only if needed) maybe a pinch of salt, or a sweetener (honey, agave, sugar, maple syrup) and thats it.

I don't really eat cashew butter, but I am a fan of raw almond butter. Yumm-o

  • your vids are so good!

  • A great tutorial! I am inspired to get my dehydrator even quicker now. Good job!

  • that was a great tutorial!!!! i cannot wait to try this recipe.

  • hey :) nice tutorial. i've been making this sprouted bread for a while now and it tastes awesome every time, but it's always too crumbly. i can't seem to make the berries into a suitable paste with the food processors i've used. anyone else have this problem? any tips??

  • Dude, you should taste it prior to dehydrating it to check the herb/salt taste and correct as needed.

  • rosemary is awesome in hearty grains like that, man that sandwich looked good

  • I love the Easy Sprout. I have three of them to rotate my daily veggie sprouts, so I might get some more for sprouted wheat bread. But, I think the water needs to be rinsed and changed at least three times a day because of the phytic acid. But the soak water is great for plants. I feed it to my patch of garlic outside the back door.

  • Love love love your sense of humor. Smiley face sandwich. Very engaging. Please make more. Keep up the good work.

    A new Subcriber,

    ~V

  • But some butter on it and place it in the microwave oven mmm so good... just kidding looks great. I just got about 5 lbs of wheat berries to day. Going to make some soon. thanks

  • are you raw now?

  • do you need a sprouter to do this or can you just soak them?

  • @tbsosnj

you do not need a sprouter,

Matter of fact: spread out a paper towel, and spray the wheat berries with water, leave them lay flat and more spread out, and you can tend to them easier; just change the paper towel once in awhile, you will also see these berries sprout a lot FASTERRRRRR!

  • You are a good teacher. Thanks.

  • i made some bread to it was yummy

  • Master teacher. Simplicity at its best

  • Great video. You made it really look simple. Can't wait to try it! : )

  • Mmmmm that looks delicious!

I have a question; wouldnt the sprouts be harder to digest when they are dry and have no water in them? And by drying the sprouts does it take nutrients out?

Either way I really want to try this out, I need to buy a dehydrator :P I have a nice 15 cup food processfor from hamilton beach already :P

    Thanks for the video!

  • @veganmusclebuilding

just drink water daily (nutritional key for survival anyway) and your will digest anything!!!

  • Nice Man, Great video, I followed you all the way through, Keep it up.

  • defintely will do

  • where did u get this sprouter? i like this one, i going to try this bread thanks!!

  • @TnWormsCastings

    I got mine off ebay.

  • I ate some of this raw bread, and it is really delicious, definitely great if you are on a raw food diet.

  • Can this be done without the hyadrator?

  • I don't think so. Unless you dry them in the sun. You may be able to use your stove on low, but it wouldn't be raw.

  • @thatoneguyonline Sun drying works if you live in a really hot, dry environment - use mesh/rack so air can circulate and/ or turn frequently so it dries evenly and doesn't ferment. Rarely do ovens have a temp. control which goes below 180*. I end up baking before it dries! You can get a dehydrator for less than $100 to get started and maybe even less through ebay... just some ideas. Thanks for the vid- keep up the great work! -Traci's Transformational Kitchen

  • If you spread the "dough" really thin you can put it on a tray and leave in the sun on a hot day.

In a stove it works best a the lowest temp.with the "dough" placed in c cookie tray or on a flat tray in balls. The outsides will dry and brown a little first but the inside will still be moist and raw.Yum!

  • You can use a regular oven, but I wouldn't really recommend dehydrating for such a long time that way (it's difficult to keep a consitent temperature).

What you can do is to bake it at a fairly low temperature instead. Try 250°F for 2-3 hours.

It won't be raw, but it will still be one of the most nutritious breads you can make.

  • Thank you, I finally went to get myself a sprouter after watching your video, and they're in the dehydrator now! I'm thrilled that you made a video so clear and descriptive, you ought to make a vido cookbook, you're great!

  • Thanks! Hope it turns out well!

  • yeah man just do it!

  • Thank you, thank you! I can't wait to try!

  • ground flaxseeds ?

  • I want some lol!!! I am on dy 18 of a 30 day raw experiment and the only thing I miss is bread... That bread looks soooooooo yummy. I don't have a dehydrator tho sigh.. not sure I can get wheat berries here in Northern Ireland. I will just have to dream......

  • lotta work for 4 pieces of bread. lol

  • Ugh, I made the mistake over oversalting and adding chia and flax to compensate for too much water. Leathery oversalted hockey pucks anyone? LOL.

  • Wow this looks really healthy. I just heard about sprouted bread today. Looks like a lot of work to get it all started. How much bread can you make with one batch?

  • I will have to try this...I heard you have to use special sprouting wheat berries - is that true...looks good.

  • berry = grain. any grain will do. rye is even better than wheat.

a little tip...rinse the grain several times before you soak. this gets rid of dirt, dust, mold etc. in a pot, cover the grain with a few inches of water and stir. pour off crud that floats to the top (bad grains will also float). after it has soaked for a day, rinse it again several times. grain reaches peak nutrition when the roots are less than 1 cm.

if you get tired of bread, this is also how you make beer or whiskey:)

  • I know why you are that skinny, you eat every three days...

  • "m" is all you say? I would say "holy f***ing jesus!".

Just a bite out of such bread would give you more nutrients than a whole breakfast on dead white bread!

    Gotta get me a dehydrator!

  • i am gona watch all ur vids startin from here

  • I enjoyed your video so much. You are such a guy, nothing fufu. Loved the salad from Subway addition.

  • Where did you buy your sprouter at?

  • A health food store.

  • you have inspired me ive bought the same sprouter and now i'm just off to soak my berries i cant wait to make this bread im hoping to go raw by the end of this year I am already vegan and loving it. I am about 2/3 raw each day hoping to go all the way.

  • Great! Good luck!

  • Thank you.

  • good ...................healthy eating!!!!!!!!!!

  • can you make these with any sprouts?

  • I'm not sure! Try it and let us know.

  • omg u r so adoralbe in a geeky kinda way lol

  • LOL, thanks.
