i bet the kiss is what brought most people here, but my own reason, is the look on rory's face at 00:43-00:45, when the music starts. i cant exactly explain why, but there's just something incredibly genuine about that moment. im aware that her biggest dream was always harvard, but in THAT second, i think everything she wanted, was standing right in front of her.

Everybody saying, "Why'd she stay with Dean after this?" She went to Washington b/c she was confused by this, She tried to write Jess, but she didn't know what to say. She gets dressed up for Jess(It is implied), ready to talk about it in person, sees him with another chick and is hurt. Then her mom confronts her and since Jess is with Shane she picks Dean. Jess was hurt she kissed and nothing came of it. They were both hurt and confused and let that get in the way of them. Give the girl credit.

@xKapsuleCorp A lot of the time I'm fine with the things Rory does (no one can be perfect, everyone makes mistakes) but I don't like how she tend to not take responsibility for her actions, or tries to twist the situation so all the blame is on someone else and not let people notice how she was wrong as well. She doesn't do it all the time but enough that it annoys me. And in this situation she admitted in the end that she's hurt Dean but she never acknowledged that she was messing with Jess too
