Kendra could be better by getting her weight over the front foot before starting the downswing. When doing this you'll have a sensation of tipping over backward - because you've essentially turned your torso over and if you haven't changed your spine angle it will feel like you're going to fall over your front foot. Anyway, we naturally try to keep our weight balanced and prevent this, but this sensation is just what we need before untwisting the torso and regaining our balance.
hogans book was a disaster for the 'typical' hi handicapp weekend golfer, pennick said this guardedly in his book, the incredible hip and leg drive of hogan's swing,
caused th eaverage joe to block his shots way out right if hit with open club face or huge duck hook as the hands tried to catch up and turn, clubface shut, olf
john jacobs 'practical golf' far better for 'mr normal' golfer
Nice rhythm and overall a good swing, however fundamentally its an upper body dominant swing. You need to work on what Hogan says " the swing is CONTROLLED by the LOWER body NOT the upper body " . Try studying his leg movement and how much PULL comes from the lower body/hips, This is why he got so much speed and power. Your swing is typical of many women ? they try to make NICE swings. At first the uneducated hated Hogans FAST aggresive swing. Work on that lower body SPEED.......GOODLUCK!
IMHO u have an impressive rhythmic swing, with high potential. I was looking 4 videos of hogan's swing and came across your video. I was not expecting much until I saw your driver swing in slow motion. All the great golfers have full extension of the arms toward the target which you seem to have shown on your swings. Is it consistent in tournament play? Well, that depends on your mental game... Nevertheless, killer looks with a killer swing. Props to you and continue the good work.
Kendra you have a block in your swing that MUST be fixed if you want to make any money.......look at the half a left arm in the book......You are swing like Hogan did in his first book power golf without the twist.....Steve Wozeniak PGA
Also, your right elbow looks like it is more in a 'flying' position at the top than Hogan's swing had, as a result of your left arm being a little closer to a 'two-plane position' than the more classic/flat, Hogan 'single' plane... Of course, Nicklaus was able to do 'ok' from a position more like yours.... ;-)
okay, if you are thinking about Ben Hogan any time after the 8 second mark there is something wrong with you!!!

Sorry...Ben was much more "earthy" in his swing. Remember...Ben "found it in the dirt". Not sexy nuff...not you personally...just yer swing. ;)

Who cares if she's right or not? I forgot what the video was about.

Agree with Billkelly. Decent swing, but not too Hoganesque. No leg drive, and not much knee bend. Swing plane is far more upright than Ben's.

looks like u do hogans secret move but hard to tell without a slo-mo.I thought I saw your wrist go from cupped to flat at the top of the swing.

Cute, but that's not Hogan swing. The power should come from the hip and legs move, not the upper body only.

Looks good - I'd say Hogan had quite a bit more lateral movement into the left side though. ;-)
