I think this song's meaning is that you should never want every single thing in life to be perfect. Bad things have to happen sometimes so you can learn from them. And that you shouldn't take things for granted because sometimes it's not always going to be with you, whether or not it's a fancy new electronic, or someone very close to you. All things happen for a reason. We just have to roll with it.

In the chorus, she lists all the things that country music is known for, and if there were none of that, then the country music genre wouldn't exist. Hints the name, "VERY LAST COUNTRY SONG..." Its not a hard song to get...listen to the lyrics.

okay so the meaning of this song is basically takin a look at life and all its ups and dwns and if you think abt it id say abt 90 percent of country songs are abt breakups, marragie, lossing sumone finding god and loosing faith so in the chourus shes saying basically if we have never made mistakes "this would be the very last country song"

I don't think it's saying these sad things about life are necessarily character building. They could destroy someone as well, in typical country style, and turn them to drink or whatever. These tragic things just happen but there is some bittersweetness cos at least you have some good memories. All the woman in the song wants to do is "look at them until the daylight's gone". Till she dies I guess. Very poignant. xx
