Coming for MY VERY FIRST VISIT TO J'VILLE in late March,2012....any advice guys? Must see...must do? We're looking to stay around the Ponte Vedra area.Wanna go to St Augustine while there too...thx.
@Wayneman117 Well, if you're going to go downtown, visit the Jacksonville Landing. It's great. They have a live band playing just about every night. Also, visit some of the restaurants in the Jacksonville Landing itself. And, if you're feeling up to it, go to the Friendship Fountain. It's the big, round fountain located in front of the Museum of Science and History, both of which are located on the south foot of the John T. Alsop bridge, the blue bridge in skyline pictures.
@MrNick7cool thanks for the response, sorry so long for the reply back. We're still looking at coming to J'ville.Matter of fact,we contacted someone today on booking our condo. How about the weather for Late March/Early April....too cold to get in the water?
Thank you for such nice presentation, you only need to add music. I Just moved here and I find this city very pretty, the proximity to the ocean, the river, the beautiful skyline, many hospitals and a lot of Southern hospitality. No city is perfect but I think I made the right choice.
@Bottyknocker2010: Hey, look. I live there, and it's really not as bad as you're thinking. If you want a great city to say is bad, take New York City, for example. There's PLENTY of worse places to be. So don't complain about it. ;)
@annaluvs90210 dude i live in jax but i would advise the original hollywood (jax) but you folks have NBA, NFL, MLB, and NHL pro sports teams i envy you NYC man.
