I am a '07 grad and I am so happy with my Trent experience & my degree!
One tip: Think long term. Decide what you want to do with your degree early in your academic career (I'm talkin' like within the first year & a half) and then aim for that goal. This means volunteering, placement opportunities, research assistance, and even finding employment in your field for the summers.
Well, one year I got a nutcracker for Christmas, and was just like "man, that is the coolest thing ever. It's mouth actually moves!" And then everyone noticed that I loved it, so they just kept getting me more... I get one or two every year for Christmas now, and I love them to bits.
