I just posted a comment on another vid because I was agro about people posting bad words about the challenger--I am sitting here with my 7 year old son, trying to teach him that if you love something, and want to learn, teach and share with the world, it is NO small thing to sacrifice your life for it. Taking a rish so that each of us can have a better future, and an expanded mind.

Ever noticed that NASA is similar to NAZI and that the inventor of space flight Von Braun was a Nazi scientist who had invented the V2 rocket in the 1930s then was employed by the US and formed NASA in the 50s. Coincidence?
wow. I LOVE learning new stuff.. can you send me websites with this information on it. thank you... AND thank you for being a thinker, I meet so few on here.
...and by the way, I understand the reason for the text, picking out certain meaningful lines from the song to convey a message you want to send. "It was a beautiful day...don't let it get away," meaning a celebration of everything we've accomplished in space and even though we've had some ups and downs, we can't give up. Don't let it get away. It was a beautiful day in space! At least, that's how I interpreted it.
I really like your videos, but your "For Other Purposes" video has to be one of the best on YouTube or anywhere for that matter. I noticed you did some editing since I first saw it on your website. Superimposing the crew when Columbia lifts off was a really nice touch. I always liked the shots of the crew during the mission too. Can't give enough praise. Awesome work.
The three different voices reading T.S. Eliot at the beginning are especially haunting, and serve to put the viewer on notice that, hey, this isn't going to be just another mediocre, half-assed YouTube upload. Very cool.
Another marvelous video. You captured the joy of watching a space shuttle launch so well... This made me cry just a little bit. One small criticism: the flying text toward the end of this bit seemed a bit obnoxious and it killed the mood. Otherwise, though, you did an amazing job. There aren't many words. Looking forward to the next bit!
I agree with the flying text. Also the beginning would have seemed less drawn out if we had some more narration or quotes. However I do love how the pictures and footage went from the very beginning of flight up to nearly present day. Good stuffQ

This is the kind of thing that needs to be on NASA TV. Wonder why NASA PAO can't seem to grasp that.

"Boring?"
Whaddaya want, an IMAX experience, but with lots of explosions and lasers to prevent you from having to endure an introspective moment?
