@smooshdaboosh After losing the role of James Bond to Daniel Craig he did Tim Allen's THE SHAGGY DOG (he was the neighbor Baxter), THE BENCHWARMERS with David Spade & Rob Schneider (he played Jerry), a couple direct-to-video efforts ACTION HERO & FULL OF IT. Last year he had a six-week test run of another talk show called THE KILBORN FILE that aired in 7 major cities (LA, NY, Philly, Boston, Detroit, Austin & Phoenix) but wasn't renewed. He is schedule to be on an episode of CHUCK on Oct. 21.

very unusual for a guy to leave on his own when hes on top...unlike Leno who clings by his fingernails and refuses to leave when hes no longer funny...i discovered Kilby here dont really remember him im 24 so i guess hes from the 90?...anyway ive seen Craig Ferguson like 3 or 4 times and hes a bore...never made it thru one of his shows...TY for posting!

I'd trade Letterman, Leno, Stewart and the rest for Craig's return to the Late, Late Show. IMO he and his writers produced the funniest late night show of them all. He never really explained his disappearance from TV, I guess he was burnt out, but it's crazy that he's been absent all these years.

I watched him almost every night back in the day, then Fergeson took over, and I watched him, and Conan, then when Fallon got his show, I watched Conan, and Fallon, and Craig on hulu. But it gets confusing after so many changes throughout the years, I can't keep up with the dates anymore.

@aas8 Jimmy Fallon has a good show. He does all kinds of crazy stuff, Lorne Michaels set him up good. One of the things I used to like about Kilborne was the way he announced his own entrance! How long did he last anyway? Anybody know?

I loved Craig on The Daily Show. I did not enjoy The Late Show quite as much. That whole mugging to the camera and feigning (or not?) narcissism thing got old really fast. Conan O'Brien has more talent in his pinky.

Kilborn did not get 'canned', That was when he did ''The Daily Show''. As far as ''Late Late Show'' was concerned, he electively left because he wanted to try new things.

Far as I'm concerned, him getting fired from The Daily Show was total bullshit. He made a joke about Lizz Winstead, and it got him suspended. Sometimes even Comedy Central has no sense of humor. :(

This was one of the WORST days of my life. I clung to this show for dear life from ages 17 to 22. There will never be another show like this one. Craig Ferguson is good, and very funny, but there's only one Kilby! God DAMN I miss this show.

I gave him a week. Then a few months later I gave him 2 days. Craig Ferguson put me permanently on Team Conan; Kilborn was my favorite TV personality period since Daily Show. Now I got Ed Schultz to look up to.
