very simple hold hold power button to power on and immediatley press f2 hold together then let go before laptop turns off usually about 2 or 3 seconds if you do it right it will start , you might have to try a few times to get it right.
I've got a problem with my HP laptop: When it should turn on, the three lights ( caps lock, num lock etc. ) should turn green for a second. This doesn't happen. The power is good, and even when i remove the battery and the AC it doesn't work. It just turns on and after a few seconds it shuts down again. It does start some time, but i dont know HOW or WHEN.
I dont know if you have fixed it but i have a tip. Get the laptop off the bed and put it on a solid surface like a wood desk or metal. That bed will block the vents on the bottem causing overheating.
2) press the power button for about 30 sec. 3) plug only the DC adapter the you computer and press power botton if it works stop there ( this prossess might need to be done every time you shut off your computer) 4) if the didn't work unplug the power cord take the battery out hold the power botten for 30 sec but keep holding it as you plug in the Power cord. This works 70% of the time
heres the best tip you will ever get,,,, if you get it going ....make sure it gets air. dont leave it on your bed or whatever, its probably what caused your problem in the first place. try removing your ram and replace one stick at a time. remove the ram. start it, then replace one stick at a time. it could be bad memory or you could have fried your chip
I have acer i had this prob wen it turns on press alt and f10 it will restore and dada it boots up
