  • Just think, 10 more gopher hides and you can make your own coat!

  • you killed it bitch

  • @TheoryIsSpeculation i live in the country also im a dairy farmer

  • @TheoryIsSpeculation 2 dollars each set of front feet cut the feet off put them in a jar with salt go to town hall meeting and get your money

  • LEAVE MY SCHOOL MASCOT ALONE D:

  • Do you charge by the gopher? I would say $5 each is very reasonable.

  • @TheoryIsSpeculation where i live gopher feet is worth money

  • dude if you leave the hole open the gophers dont like sunlight, so they will come up and try to bury the hole back up. Sunlight, i found, is a very very effective way of catching gophers.

  • Thank you very much for making these videos and for offering the most effective gopher trap I've tried. Between your instructions and the tips offered by Gunnar in Minnesota's videos, I have been able to get my gopher issues under control! Thank you very much!

  • I wanna hire this dude, now!

  • That pile of gophers is frigging awesome. MAKE SOME SOUP!!!

  • This works great but i think i am just gonnanstick with blowing them to bits with my 308

  • even though i use a diffrent trap your tips helped me get one this year about a week or two ago

  • We used the same method and got 3 within 40 minutes 2 in the same hole!! Sat around, drank beer and baited gophers... Great day!!

  • I've been trying for months to kill gophers, but watched this video (used different traps) but the tips are immensely helpful and I GOT MY FIRST ONE TODAY! Threw a big party, totally stoked!!!

  • VERY nice. Thank you for the very instructive video. I needed it! Thanks.

  • thats not nice!!!! im going to call p.e.t.a

  • Great traps! Bought some and they work great!

  • Great video went out and got some traps right after watching yesterday, set them in the afternoon and this morning 3 of the 4 traps had gophers, my dirt plug didnt go back in as perfect as his so i put a chunk of 2x6 wood over the whole and covered it with dirt to make it keep light out. Sweet revenge after they killed my one year old apple tree

  • Two just ran behind you.

  • my cat takes care of the problem...

  • License to kill gophers by the government of the United Nations. Man, free to kill gophers at will. To kill, you must know your enemy, and in this case my enemy is a varmint. And a varmint will never quit - ever. They're like the Viet Cong - Varmint Cong. So you have to fall back on superior intelligence and superior firepower. And that's all she wrote.

  • knee pads,wow

  • trapperjoe, no, the gopher traps are bigger than the large mole traps, as gophers are a bigger animal than moles. The mole size traps(either standard or large size, as they're pretty close) will work well for juvenile gophers. You really need the gopher size trap for adult gophers. Thanks. -Steve

  • @albanstv I learned this the hard way. Wasn't sure if it was a gopher or a mole because the dirt was so dry/sandy and located on a steep hill which didn't provide sufficient evidence which animal it was. I ended up buying the regular size mole trap and it was ineffective due to the gopher size. I have now bought the gophinator set since then and it is like night and day. Got my first catch the same day, thanks for this awesome device, it is well designed.

  • is the larg mole trap biger then the gopher trap? and can you use the larg mole trap for gophers?

  • I thought gophers were bigger. Like the one from caddyshack!

  • lol i use my 22 or 22 mag . i got 5000 gophers from may - july this year

  • @mhaze420 how much money you get by sellling the feet

  • Dude you are "Gopher Enemy Number 1"

  • you son of the bitch!

  • this is awsome o.o

  • it goes this way and...CHOMP

    OW SH*T!

there is a gopher down there

  • u took out the hole g-force squad u murderer lol

  • Inexpensive and effective!

  • OK I am so appreciative that you put out this video. I have been using bait or fumigants for years with mixed results. I am sold on the Idea of trapping over baiting especially initially or in accounts with pets.

  • hes shanking the Gopher! :(

  • If gophers had gatlin guns, the rattlesnakes would leave them alone.

  • just bought some of these....I can't wait...pretty sure I have moles and not gopher's...Im about to go caddyshack on him :)

  • good eatin.

  • Nice vid . Im going to try this. I hate to kill them but man are they destroyers. RIP gophers.

  • Great video thanks. I have a big battle.

  • gopher trappers dont say that penut butter doest work they just dont use it. You can also use potato skinks grasses any food that they can eat to keep the teeth chewed down.

  • The FLUFFYNESS of the dirt

  • I bet you would double your catch if you played Kenny Loggins "I'm Alright" on a constant replay near the area.

  • GOOD INFORMATION!!!!!i hate gophers got them in my lawn.

  • I've being trying for years to catch'em, I tried everything, and no results at all. Thanks a lot to bring this video, I will get rid of my annoying gophers that they driving me crazy.

  • Fantastic! I love the barrel of dead gophers!

  • This worked!!! Thank you!! We've tried poison and smoke bombs - nothing worked. Put peanut butter on the traps and put two down a tunnel just like in the video and the next day we caught the gopher!

  • Holy... maybe trapping is more efficient than shooting them...

But shooting them is a lot more fun though...

    great vid man!!!

  • nice trapping man

  • then what. you didn't finish. what next? do you cook them for hors douvres or do the dogs and kitties get to eat them? leave for coyotl? the arms and legs are the best part but better fried like greeben or bacon. the ants and birds and things like the hair for their nests. the teeth make nice neclaces too. little pouches for crystals with claw closers. byeyou

  • @guyglowmore1 you sell there feet for money

  • I think we're having an epidemic outbreak of gophers in the Murrieta area through Temecula.

  • @MalibuCornelius

Murrieta and Temecula had it coming.

  • @MalibuCornelius Anyway you could provide feedback as to how severe the outbreak really is?

  • The reason why it's high percentage catch is because the gopher walks straight into the the trap per the tunnel. I'm seriously considering not ever purchasing poison or the "gasser" bomb because the trap is very effective. Some other video with two sonic noise deterrents did not work brand new.

  • Great video! I had a particular problem and contacted Steve. He provided valuable information related to my specific situation. I used other methods to get this pesty varmit and his trap got the job done! Thank you Steve for your cooperation and assistance.

  • Great video, nothing bad about sharing information that aids me in providing a safe and healthy yard, where my grandson pups run and play. without the health and safety issues to worry about. Thank you very much.

  • Oh no, the Caddyshack Gopher!! How could you?

  • I bought these traps and they work great and the best trap on the market. I have trapped/eliminated two gophers that were feasting on my newly planted sod lawn. I do recommend that you get these traps, a sod knife (Hori Hori Stainless steel) and follow Steve's directions in this video. Thanks Steve for making a fantastic trap and DIY video.

  • 5:14 HOLY SH*T

  • thank you soo much!! i will try this right away. Baddd gophersss!!!

  • F^%$ that's a lot of gophers. Thanks for the tutorial. A gopher has been eating my Cup Noodle stash in the garage; it's time to end it.

  • thats probably a rat

  • I have biger mounds then that... 1.5 to 2 ft diamater is there a difference in probing for the hole can't find the hole???

  • Just make sure it's a fresh mound, probe, cut sod (Hori Hori Knife), locate holes , set traps, use peanut butter and make sure you stake the traps down as my last gopher kill dragged the trap about foot into the hole before he died.

  • heck ill just use 10,000 tons of trinitrouse tolulene for my gopher problem

  • @bundaiz trinitrotoluene aka TNT, doesn't seem very efficient. In the Netherlands; farmers use calcium carbide. Put it in the tunnel, sprinkle some water over it, let the gas flow trough the tunnels, then fire it up.

  • gotta do what you gotta do

  • Wow this is exactly how I trap em. Peanut butter is the ticket.

A bit time consuming but very effective. I used to put my sets above ground but my local Fox "Charlie" ran off with too many of my traps.

  • Nice video thanks for the good information. What kind of traps do you use? I just bought two Victor Black Box traps, hopefully they work well. I like how small the traps you used look, seems like it would help. Thanks again.

  • Thanks for the know how!

  • Thanks for showing how to do this in such detail. These little tunnel rats are destroying my yard and garden. Time to go to work. The only drawback is the state of washington has made it illegal to trap them using this type of trap, you have to use a live trap. Im am sick of the state passing these ridiculous laws. I would like to stick my representatives face down the hole and let the gopher chew on it.

  • Better still, collect as many live gophers as you can and find out where your idiot representives live. Then, go out at night and set the buggers free. Let's see how long their "humane" attitude last. I swear, the stupidity of these politicians astounds me. Makes things like that AIG bailout/bonus f-up and the "duh" aspect of it all not all that surprising.

  • Dose the law out law #1 and#0 steel jaw traps they ketch em by the foot or leg and are small.

  • Any type of trap that causes any type of bodily harm is outlawed. Next, wa. state will probably outlaw traps that cause emotional stress as well. Did you here about the pest control employee who had 4 charges of animal cruelty filed against him for leaving a squirrel in a live trap on a weekend?

  • Is there a humane way of getting rid of them? These buggers are destroying my garden but I don't have the heart to kill the bastards.

  • Are you from Massachusetts? You sound like a Kennedy.

  • i use mouse traps

  • THANKS! I will take a look.

  • jmjohnson, from your description, it sounds like you have "voles", which are also known as "field mice". They leave very round, very clean, open holes with vegetation cropped back very short around the perimeter of the hole.

See my website for more information on how to trap voles--they're easy to get if you use the right set-up.

  • What are those 4 holes in front of where you set the traps? I have those holes all around my yard in the same locations of where the mole activity is. The holes look like they have been a cave in in some places. But it is weird because the holes are PERFECTLY round. Is a racoon or a possum or a skunk trying to get in the tunnels?

  • ITS A TRAP!

  • Thank you for your positive comments--glad people are finding the video and the traps useful.

ROFLpwnedvideos, no I don't eat them, at least not on a regular basis.

  • Screwed up question but...do you eat em? I mean...it's free food. I would. Why not? haha.

  • That was solid. Very good job and presentation. Thanks

  • Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge in this matter. This little guys took over my yard and I am finally getting it under control.

The peanut butter scent does the trick!

    Thanks again :)

  • Great video and great traps. I finally feel like I'm back in control of my yard and lawns. THANKS A TON!

  • great video
