i like the hand trick more u shouldnt be touching your face while touching someones food. Your hands are washed many many times when cooking food, ur face probably never.
Steak did look great but wanted u to cut into the center of that sucker!
I agree - you should not touch your face at a restaurant - in MY restaurant, we touch our butts instead. Also, we will lick the steak to check the seasoning. These guys are just amateurs obviously.
I'd eat the whole thing. Looked perfect to me. Plus, both of you guys are as fat as me. That tells me that you know how to cook. Lots of cheers from Atlanta, GA, USA.
That isn't enough salt for that large of a steak. Beef likes to be well seasoned, otherwise it's bland. A lot of the salt you apply to the surface of a piece of meat is going to rinse away during the cooking process, as the meat will inevitably "sweat" as the proteins break down.
@TheRamstoss Are u kidding? A special rub for steak! Thats crazy! When ur cooking steak sea salt and fresh ground pepper is by far the best seasoning, no reason to pay for a good cut of meat if your just gonna hide the flavor of the steak with a rub! Rubs are for brisket or maybe ribs when you pay good money for a steak its the meat u wanna taste not a tone of seasonings that dont even let u taste what u cooked. Try just giving ur steak a realy good char then u will get a ton of flavor!
@bobwatters you are right my friend. Sea Salt and Peppercorn peppers. all you need since the steak as a very good beefy flavor it self. And i never use steak sauce.
@mlgomen88 haha yea i think its soo funny b,c everyone i know that uses steak sauce cooks their steaks well done or even extra well done! they cook it untill its so dry they have to use steak sauce to choke it down lol if they would just cook it medium rare they would see that a steak is so juicy using any sauce is a sin! Its good to see there is someone that likes to enjoy a steak the same way as me ;)
@bobwatters yea, the juices from the steaks are just amazing. ribeyes are by far my favorite. and it has to have very good marbling. i feel like eating one now lol.
Actually, getting the cross-hatching involves an extra turn of the meat (ninety degrees or so) which can let some juices out. Plus, every arsehole knows that trick anyway. It's not mandatory at all.
Beef Au Jus. It can be found in canned or powdered form.
If you cook the rib eye in a frying pan you create your own Au Jus naturally in the pan. Cook it, rest it, plate it, then pour the juices from the pan over the steak. No powders or concentrate.
I'm on a diet and I needed a fix without cheating...so i've come to you and it was just what I needed, thankyou I'll be back....again... and again...and..
If you are looking for a diet option i wouldn't go for a ribeye. ribeyes have a very high amount of fat which is why they are so juicy and the higher the grade of meat the even higher the fat percent. if you want a delicious, lean, tender steak, go with a tenderloin (fillet Mignon) you will pay a little more than a ribeye but it costs to eat healthy. Cheers
fishin18... thank you for your advice....but the reason I came here..come here was to see a big fat juicy steak, not eat one.. I can see how my post was a little misleading, my apologies. I just needed to see it..lol
why do people just put steaks on the grill u hit it with a hammer if you don't it will be tough

steak tastes better when you let the salt and seasoning sit on it for a bit.

This comment has received too many negative votes show
"You season too early and you're going to draw all the moisture out of the steak"? Really? What makes you think that? How silly.
Frip88 2 years ago
science. fact. kind of like how you dont want salt in your marinades. 101

@Frip88 did you go to high school? If so, if you think about osmosis it makes sense.

@jwv76 I agree with you, it's obviously underseasoned. And it's better to use a special rub on a steak like this rather than just salt and pepper.
