great quick fix with a pad thats fallen off a rockband 2 kit: mouse pad+paper clips. just

1: Take the mouse pad and set it up in position on the drum head.

2: Mark positions for the paper clips.

3: Jam the paper clips through the marked areas.

4: Set them into the drum head, smallest portion under the silver "rims".

5: Bend to a position to which they will stay in place, clipping the large portion under the small lip under the pad.
