Why does Japan get bonus tracks?

To wlmmn ~ After a quick bit of research [Scroogle is our friend] I've read that Japanese CDs are expensive and imports tend 2be considerably cheaper there than their domestic pressings. Adding bonus material to the Japanese issues ensures sales of the local item, (as do the label deals in Japan that generally have a clause that stipulates that their release date (of any given album), must be at least 4, sometimes 6 weeks in advance of any other territory...or so it was 10 yrs ago anyhow)

I don't know how much Jeff has much to do with the marketing, but this has the hallmarks of his quiet humour...i.e. the titles..."Poor Boy's...........", "Cry Me A River" only being on the Japanese export issues!? Just coincidence or *coin*cidence ; is he having a laugh or wh@?! lol ☺ ;-j

It appears as a whole album purchase on the first iTunes preview page ; click on it there and it then becomes available as a 'single' at 0.79p cheap ☺ Did you go past the preview page? Or maybe it's just not on offer in the US? Let us know if you ever get it! (As I stated earlier, "Cry Me A River" still isn't available here though) ;-j
